[00:00:00] One of mine's a cheat. I apologize. Where are your picks, Jerry? It's a secret to everyone. I hope Aaron has them. I have the actual tracks, but you didn't put them on the dock somewhere. I was just like, no. Oh, I didn't even, I was not privy to a dock. Damn, damn, Aaron. I told you to put them in the dock. I told him to put them in the dock. Are they in the dock? He said the dock that we've been using doesn't exist, Aaron. What are you talking about?

[00:00:27] The dock that we did. The recurring dock that goes off of week to week. I told you, I was not privy!

[00:00:34] A privy, dude?

[00:00:35] Dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-dee-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba.

[00:00:43] What it do, everybody? It's me, Aaron. I'm a Costco guy. Of course, I eat an entire fried rat.

[00:00:49] And I'm Jerry, and my blood is made of marmalade. And SuperPod Saga!

[00:01:08] That's where the intro song goes, but it doesn't work in Riverside. It's gone now.

[00:01:15] Fuck. You lost it again? They took it from you.

[00:01:18] Yeah, I uploaded it last night like three times, and finally...

[00:01:23] It took once. It doesn't matter. Yeah, it's being stupid.

[00:01:26] Anyway, yeah, welcome back to SuperPod Saga.

[00:01:28] Yeah, I will. Second greatest collaboration of all time.

[00:01:35] Sorry. Second greatest collaboration of all time.

[00:01:40] Jerry and I run a quest to talk about every video game topic in existence one week at a time, step-by-step, day-by-day.

[00:01:48] Today, we're talking about the best battle themes from pretty much anything.

[00:01:53] Yeah, it could be action games, adventure games, whatever, JRPG.

[00:01:58] It's probably mostly JRPGs, let's be honest.

[00:02:00] Mostly because JRPGs just fucking spank.

[00:02:03] Yeah.

[00:02:04] Yeah.

[00:02:04] They do?

[00:02:05] Yeah, they do.

[00:02:06] I tried not to pick too many JRPGs.

[00:02:10] I really, really tried.

[00:02:11] I picked one that's not RPG.

[00:02:14] I feel like I did pretty good with that.

[00:02:16] Actually, this marks...

[00:02:17] You guys are the first guests on the new and improved SuperPod Saga.

[00:02:21] I don't even know if it's improved yet.

[00:02:23] Well, that's still to be seen.

[00:02:25] But it's the new, the new, new.

[00:02:27] And we're using a slightly different format after we've put on the fusion earrings and did the fusion dance and merged Racial Rehab with SuperPod Saga.

[00:02:35] We played the polymerization spell card.

[00:02:39] That's so good.

[00:02:41] You heard it here first, folks.

[00:02:43] SuperPod Saga is Gaia the Dragon champion of podcasts.

[00:02:49] Just like that.

[00:02:49] We got there.

[00:02:51] Yeah.

[00:02:51] We got there.

[00:02:52] Boo.

[00:02:54] So with every guest that we had on Retro Rehab and every guest going forward on SuperPod Saga's new format, we got a question for our guests.

[00:03:03] And it's usually pretty fun.

[00:03:05] So the question is, what is your favorite video game memory?

[00:03:09] Yeah.

[00:03:10] I mean, I'll go ahead and jump in there.

[00:03:12] You know, Nick from the Friday Night Gamecast.

[00:03:14] I don't know if we already were supposed to do that earlier when we were talking about eating Costco rats and marmalade blood.

[00:03:21] But I'm your boy, Nick.

[00:03:23] You know, we're jumping in here.

[00:03:25] Wait, Aaron.

[00:03:26] Did you even introduce them?

[00:03:28] Oh, no.

[00:03:29] Hang on.

[00:03:30] I can do that.

[00:03:31] Do we want to redo it?

[00:03:32] Do we want to redo it?

[00:03:33] Do we want to redo that?

[00:03:35] Yeah.

[00:03:35] Introduce them, then we'll do the fucking.

[00:03:37] Before we get to the topic, though, we have guests.

[00:03:39] We have awesome, handsome, wonderful guests.

[00:03:42] We have both Nick and for the first time, Will from Friday Night Gamecast.

[00:03:46] Hello, fellas.

[00:03:48] Hello, hello.

[00:03:49] Very happy to be on.

[00:03:50] Thank you very much for allowing us some space into this beautiful, beautiful podcast area that you set up for us.

[00:03:57] That's right.

[00:03:57] That's right.

[00:03:58] It's cozy.

[00:03:59] Make yourselves at home.

[00:04:01] Stay away from my 7-Up Shirley temples.

[00:04:03] It's in the break room fridge.

[00:04:05] Those are mine.

[00:04:06] I want the Shirley temple so bad.

[00:04:09] I want it so bad.

[00:04:11] No, it's 7-Up.

[00:04:12] No, it's...

[00:04:13] How much for the 7-Up Shirley temple?

[00:04:16] How many orphan children for 7-Up?

[00:04:18] Got hot.

[00:04:20] One smooch.

[00:04:21] One single...

[00:04:22] One single...

[00:04:23] Just a hug.

[00:04:24] Tell me I'm all right.

[00:04:25] I'll give you a hug.

[00:04:26] I got a hug for you.

[00:04:27] Just call me a good boy.

[00:04:27] I got a hug for you.

[00:04:28] Yeah.

[00:04:29] Yep.

[00:04:29] Just give me a pat on the head.

[00:04:30] Yes, we have guests though.

[00:04:32] Holy shit.

[00:04:33] That's the show.

[00:04:34] Yeah.

[00:04:35] Jerry, ask away.

[00:04:36] Go get at them.

[00:04:37] Yeah.

[00:04:38] So we got a new format for everybody after the merge of Retro Rehab and Super Pod Saga.

[00:04:44] Put on the Fusion earrings.

[00:04:45] Did the Fusion dance.

[00:04:46] Now we got this new format.

[00:04:48] But one thing that we used to ask our guests on Retro Rehab all the time was, what is your favorite video game memory?

[00:04:55] And this usually led to some really cool conversations.

[00:04:58] So I would like to know from both you fellers, what is your favorite video game memory?

[00:05:05] I'll say I'll jump in here first.

[00:05:08] It's a combination, you know, because I growing up as a single child didn't really get a lot of chances to play with friends.

[00:05:15] You know, there would be the occasional, you know, sleepovers, hanging out with parties and stuff.

[00:05:19] But it wasn't actually until I was a little bit older.

[00:05:22] And I have really, really fond memories.

[00:05:24] And this is similar to a story I've told on a different podcast before.

[00:05:28] But I remember when Halo Combat Evolved came out.

[00:05:33] I can't remember.

[00:05:34] I was in middle school at the time.

[00:05:36] And, you know, obviously my cousin, he had my first introduction was Halo 2.

[00:05:42] I wasn't even around.

[00:05:43] I wasn't even paying attention when Combat Evolved actually came out.

[00:05:45] And it was only until my cousin had the Xbox 360 backwards compatibility, threw in Halo Combat Evolved, played through the entire campaign in like one night.

[00:05:57] And then we were also like up for another like 10 straight hours the next day just doing nothing but playing PvP and Blood Gulch.

[00:06:04] And yeah, I remember those days very, very fondly.

[00:06:07] That was really, really fun.

[00:06:09] And like playing, you know, for the first time, playing around with physics in that sandbox, just 2v2 Killman Slayer Arena getting decimated over and over again is a good time.

[00:06:19] So that's like one of them.

[00:06:20] That's like a very much formative childhood, you know, gaming memory.

[00:06:24] I've got to say, because recency bias is the golden rule, right?

[00:06:28] You know, we all got to care about what just happened.

[00:06:31] Will and I, you know, for the Friday Night Gamecast, you know, we record together.

[00:06:35] We podcast together all the time.

[00:06:38] But we don't get to game together as much as we would like.

[00:06:41] But recently, we were reviewing Astro Bot for the show.

[00:06:45] And I will say, you know, it was the funnest thing, you know, kind of just sitting down and doing the classic pass the controller every other time like you die to the homie over there.

[00:06:56] And he would go and do like the challenge levels for me.

[00:06:57] And I'd be like, sweet.

[00:06:58] Yeah, now I can do all of the awesome, fun, little curated like character levels.

[00:07:02] Yes.

[00:07:03] Those fucking challenge levels, though.

[00:07:04] Holy shit.

[00:07:05] So anytime you've seen a PlayStation button, I was getting triggered.

[00:07:09] They're so good.

[00:07:10] And I'm excited.

[00:07:10] I'm excited, though, because they're coming out with new speed run levels.

[00:07:13] So it came out today.

[00:07:15] Today.

[00:07:15] Yeah.

[00:07:15] Yeah.

[00:07:16] The first one came out today.

[00:07:17] I think they're like successfully rolling them out over like a couple of weeks or so away from each other.

[00:07:21] But yeah, that was like, honestly, a super recent, very fun gaming memory.

[00:07:26] Just hanging out with the bro.

[00:07:27] So we had, you know, two, two, two starries between us.

[00:07:31] Just, you know, playing Astro Bot.

[00:07:32] It was great.

[00:07:34] Starry like the soda?

[00:07:35] Yeah.

[00:07:36] You know, we didn't have starry.

[00:07:38] We hang out and we drink soda.

[00:07:40] It's usually it's usually the Mountain Dew code red.

[00:07:43] That's true.

[00:07:44] OK, cool.

[00:07:44] Big.

[00:07:46] Every one of our hangouts are code reds.

[00:07:51] So since Nick is doing two favorite memories, I'm like, I can't get shorted.

[00:07:56] I guess I got to do two as well.

[00:07:57] So I'll do my first one.

[00:07:59] Very common one, similar to what Nick said, like on a couple of podcasts, including our own a couple of times.

[00:08:04] I've mentioned this one, but I was still I think in must have been either end of elementary school, beginning of middle school.

[00:08:10] But I'm pretty sure it was more to the end of elementary.

[00:08:13] Crash Team Racing was out on the PlayStation.

[00:08:16] So it was something that I was just really a big fan of.

[00:08:18] I love playing that game.

[00:08:19] I still stand by that.

[00:08:21] It's better than Mario Kart.

[00:08:22] Please come hate me because I feed off of your negative energy.

[00:08:25] But I love me some Crash Team Racing.

[00:08:28] And one morning before like going into school, I managed to trick my parents into like playing Crash Team Racing with me.

[00:08:36] So like they would kind of just like trade the sticks back and forth.

[00:08:39] And of course, I was beating the hell out of them because they have no idea what video games are.

[00:08:43] But it was just fun that they took time out of like their day to do something that I enjoy doing, even though I'm sure they're like, oh, this is kind of like dumb kid stuff, but it makes him happy.

[00:08:52] But it's one of those things that I always hold on to.

[00:08:54] So I'm looking forward to in the future, hopefully doing something similar to my daughter, whether it be gaming or otherwise, just taking something small that she really enjoys and, you know, taking some time out of my busy morning, getting ready for work or something.

[00:09:07] And then, you know, 10, 15 minutes.

[00:09:09] And who knows, maybe when she's 30 something and old and jaded like me now, she'll like look back on it and be like, oh, my dad loves me.

[00:09:17] He was hanging out with me in the morning.

[00:09:19] So that's like my older kind of story that I really hold on to and I really love.

[00:09:24] I have no self-control.

[00:09:25] If one of my kids was like, hey, you want to play Mario Kart with me for 15 minutes before work?

[00:09:31] I'd be calling in sick and being like, sorry, I got to school this fucking kid all day.

[00:09:36] Mario Kart.

[00:09:37] I'm taking a sick day.

[00:09:38] I'm not going to be in.

[00:09:41] I was going to leave that out.

[00:09:43] But now to bring it up, it's 100% accurate.

[00:09:45] Like I said, if she gets into gaming, which I would like to see, I would love for her to become a big time gamer.

[00:09:51] But look, she's no punches will be pulled.

[00:09:54] Look, I'm going to.

[00:09:55] It doesn't matter if it's Mario Kart.

[00:09:56] It doesn't matter if it's a fighting game, especially if it's a shooter.

[00:09:59] Oh, no.

[00:10:00] No, she's you got to learn the hard way.

[00:10:02] I'm going to be.

[00:10:03] I'm going to be your cod lobby.

[00:10:04] She's toast.

[00:10:05] Back in 09.

[00:10:07] I'm going to recreate that for you.

[00:10:09] Just yelling obscenities.

[00:10:11] She's like, dad, why are you saying this stuff to me?

[00:10:12] He's like, you know what it's like to be back in 2009?

[00:10:16] You're going to find out today.

[00:10:18] Shell shock.

[00:10:19] Uninstall, uninstall, uninstall.

[00:10:22] She's going to school.

[00:10:25] Talking trash about her mom while she's standing in the doorway.

[00:10:30] I slept with your mother.

[00:10:32] She's like, I know.

[00:10:37] She won't shut up about it.

[00:10:39] Oh, God.

[00:10:39] It's more like up to date recent memory.

[00:10:42] I had Nick and a couple of other friends over and we actually had like a very fun kind

[00:10:47] of dudes night.

[00:10:49] It was like harking back to those old school, you know, maybe Halo-ish days where you'd get

[00:10:54] like the LAN parties together.

[00:10:55] Everyone would have like pizza and beer and just kind of play.

[00:10:58] Get your hands all greasy and touch all those controllers.

[00:11:00] Rub all the controllers over.

[00:11:02] Yep.

[00:11:02] Just make the thing break out.

[00:11:04] Get the cheesy dust in the fucking buttons.

[00:11:05] Right into the ridges where you have to scrape it out with a toothpick.

[00:11:08] And then you guys all slept in the basement of sleeping bags.

[00:11:13] See, I'm very glad I don't have a basement because God, yeah, I would, uh, no.

[00:11:18] Not a big basement fan here.

[00:11:19] I'm talking to my basement in a sleeping bag.

[00:11:20] See, you have a badass basement though, so that's a little bit different.

[00:11:24] You got, you got, you got the one guy who you like, you didn't give a blanket to, so

[00:11:28] he's just using whatever he finds.

[00:11:30] He's ripping up pieces of the carpet.

[00:11:32] Pizza box.

[00:11:32] The cushions from the couch.

[00:11:34] This is covered in coasters.

[00:11:35] The ass cushion propped up.

[00:11:36] A chair.

[00:11:37] Someone just puts a chair on him.

[00:11:39] Sleep tight, little guy.

[00:11:42] He just, yep.

[00:11:44] Just grabs your TV and just like, why are you covered in a radio?

[00:11:47] Like into a curve and all.

[00:11:48] Mmm, cozy.

[00:11:51] Wow, I have, he wakes up in the morning, wow, I have cancer.

[00:11:56] Sorry, go ahead.

[00:11:57] It was just fun though.

[00:11:58] We were, we were playing like Sparking Zero for like three or four hours, so it was just

[00:12:02] a blast getting people together.

[00:12:03] Dude, Sparking Zero is so crazy.

[00:12:05] It was very, very fun.

[00:12:06] It's so good.

[00:12:07] Oh shit, it's so fun.

[00:12:09] It's awesome.

[00:12:10] Yeah.

[00:12:10] I tried it and I was like, why do I want this now all of a sudden?

[00:12:16] Like, I didn't think I wanted this.

[00:12:17] I thought I just wanted like the 2D like Dragon Ball Fighters, which was exceptional.

[00:12:22] Great game.

[00:12:23] But then like, then I remembered, oh yeah, I kind of have a crazy nostalgia for those

[00:12:28] Budokai games.

[00:12:30] And now this is like the ultimate Budokai game.

[00:12:34] Playing Sparking Zero made me wonder why Kakarot was so fucking bad in comparison.

[00:12:41] Like in it, not even in comparison, Kakarot is just a bad game.

[00:12:45] Damn.

[00:12:46] It does the same thing that every other Dragon Ball game does.

[00:12:48] And you know, it tells a fucking story of Dragon Ball Z, whatever.

[00:12:51] But like, why were the controls so fucking bad?

[00:12:54] But Sparking, I mean, I know, I know different developers, but at the end of the day, but

[00:12:58] it's just like, fuck man.

[00:12:59] Yeah.

[00:13:00] They just nailed it.

[00:13:00] It's so good.

[00:13:01] It takes like a couple of seconds to kind of get used to it because it is kind of different.

[00:13:06] But like, you only need like five minutes in the tutorial telling you how to do different

[00:13:11] stuff.

[00:13:12] And you're like, oh, this is actually like kind of super accessible as a fighting game.

[00:13:16] Really?

[00:13:17] It's awesome.

[00:13:17] I'm not great at fighting games, but like I could tear shit up in Sparking Zero.

[00:13:22] I can tell you what.

[00:13:23] Seriously.

[00:13:24] You know what I want that I would buy day fucking one?

[00:13:28] I want like, I want a good like anime mashup fighting game because like Jump Force was

[00:13:34] all right, but it was weird how everybody was like realistic looking like Yugi with his

[00:13:39] hair and shit.

[00:13:40] I think, I feel like Jerry and I just talked about this.

[00:13:43] Jump Force?

[00:13:43] It's Jump Force where they had like all of the anime characters together.

[00:13:47] Like it was Goku, Naruto, Luffy.

[00:13:51] Honestly, Sakurai just needs to man up and he just needs to fucking put all those characters

[00:13:56] in Smash.

[00:13:57] Smash.

[00:13:57] But he, he even came up and was like, just want to let everybody know Goku can never

[00:14:03] exist in Smash.

[00:14:04] I hate it.

[00:14:05] No.

[00:14:05] I hate it.

[00:14:06] Yeah.

[00:14:07] And I'm sure, I'm sure the same thing goes for like Master Chief, even though we really

[00:14:10] love him to be there.

[00:14:11] Smash would be awesome though.

[00:14:13] Dude.

[00:14:14] If they could put a Spartan in DOA 4, then they could put Master Chief in Smash.

[00:14:18] There you go.

[00:14:19] I mean, that's honestly, that's, that's true.

[00:14:21] That's true, man.

[00:14:23] I, I forgot about that.

[00:14:36] Yeah.

[00:14:36] Yeah.

[00:14:37] Yep.

[00:14:37] Exactly.

[00:14:39] So, yeah, man.

[00:14:40] So that Xbox showcase.

[00:14:42] Dude, I was posting about this in the Groove Trip.

[00:14:44] I had no fucking clue what was going on either.

[00:14:45] Who was, who was advertising this?

[00:14:48] They stealth dropped it.

[00:14:48] I had no idea.

[00:14:49] Was it like, why would you stealth drop a partner showcase?

[00:14:53] I didn't see anything at all about it on.

[00:14:54] Right.

[00:14:55] And it had some crazy shit in it.

[00:14:57] Yeah.

[00:14:58] Like good, good stuff that I wish I wanted to see.

[00:15:01] I wanted to see.

[00:15:02] I mean, I don't want to, I don't want to come for Xbox already after, after, you know,

[00:15:06] they're kind of, I don't want to kick a, kick, you know, kick a dog while it's down.

[00:15:09] I don't know what the saying is.

[00:15:10] I don't, what's the, what's the truism voice?

[00:15:11] But no, I was like, I, I don't know.

[00:15:13] I just, I don't want to shit on Xbox, but like at the same time, I'm like, you need

[00:15:17] every win that you can get right now with Sony pressing their foot on your neck with

[00:15:21] all of the fucking hardware that they're releasing and like all of the different games

[00:15:25] that are optimized for PlayStation.

[00:15:26] Yeah.

[00:15:26] It's really weird that they just were like, Hey, how about a shadow drop?

[00:15:30] But instead of a game, it's our showcase.

[00:15:33] The entire game showcase.

[00:15:35] I mean, to be fair though, outside of, of course, the hardware, like you mentioned,

[00:15:39] I mean, people just all over the internet, which we of course know is, you know, the,

[00:15:43] the pulse of gaming is, is Elon Musk's Twitter Redux.

[00:15:48] But you know, everyone's just like, Hey, Sony's really shit in the bed when it comes to these

[00:15:51] showcases, Xbox is putting out all the really big hits.

[00:15:55] So I don't know.

[00:15:56] I don't feel like showcase was really good though.

[00:15:58] Yeah.

[00:15:58] Like the last Sony showcase was crazy.

[00:16:00] I think, I mean, Beth, Beth had a full meltdown when she seen shadow the hedgehog

[00:16:05] in Tokyo voiced by Keanu Reeves.

[00:16:08] I mean, that is cool.

[00:16:09] She couldn't even comprehend what was happening.

[00:16:11] It was a banger.

[00:16:13] Dude.

[00:16:14] So, so first off, one of the, one of the coolest parts of the, uh, of the showcase,

[00:16:19] which I read up on a little bit earlier is animal wells on Xbox now.

[00:16:23] So that's cool.

[00:16:23] Indeed.

[00:16:24] It's very, it's a good ass game.

[00:16:27] Animal well on Xbox, um, fucking Subnautica 2, Eternal Strands, Wheel World sounds cool.

[00:16:34] Wu-Chang Fallen Feathers.

[00:16:34] What, what I thought the most important thing to me in this whole showcase besides the remedy

[00:16:41] stuff, cause the remedy stuff is just chef's kiss.

[00:16:44] But it was kind of crazy that today Bloober came out and were like, thank you so much.

[00:16:52] Silent Hill 2 remake has now sold a million copies.

[00:16:58] So honestly, holy shit.

[00:17:00] Congratulations to Bloober for even pulling this shit off and making a great game.

[00:17:05] But then as this announcement happens, they're like, oh, by the way, we got this other fucking

[00:17:11] crazy ass game coming out.

[00:17:13] And they showed it in this trailer.

[00:17:15] Like when I seen the Bloober logo come up, I was like, get the fuck out of here.

[00:17:18] How is this even possible?

[00:17:19] They got another game putting it out so quick.

[00:17:21] And I was like, oh, is this just going to be like a remake of like Observer or something?

[00:17:25] And I'm like, wait, this looks really crazy.

[00:17:28] I don't know what this is.

[00:17:29] And it was like dead space inception.

[00:17:32] Like it was fucking crazy looking.

[00:17:34] And I was like, oh God, please not a walking simulator.

[00:17:37] Then it shows the dude like walking over to the shoulder camera, aiming a gun.

[00:17:41] And I was like, oh, thank God.

[00:17:43] You did it.

[00:17:44] You did it.

[00:17:45] Like I really want Bloober to become like this next like big horror like icon.

[00:17:54] Yeah, like studio.

[00:17:55] Cause like the way that I knew.

[00:17:57] Exactly.

[00:17:57] Like the way that I think about Capcom and Konami and some of these other teams, it's

[00:18:01] like synonymous with horror games.

[00:18:04] I want to be able to think about Bloober because like it's not that I don't like Bloober stuff.

[00:18:09] I have liked a lot of their games in the past, but they've been kind of hit or miss.

[00:18:14] And like the quality has been also hit or miss.

[00:18:17] The writing has been hit or miss.

[00:18:18] But then out of nowhere, it was like, oh, when you had all this money behind you doing

[00:18:24] Silent Hill 2 remake it, it's clear that you just needed a little bit more money and some

[00:18:29] more like talent to help you out on something to make quite literally like probably one of

[00:18:35] my favorite.

[00:18:36] It is currently my favorite game of the year next to like Astro Bot and UFO 50.

[00:18:41] Easy.

[00:18:41] Nice.

[00:18:42] 100%.

[00:18:42] Easy.

[00:18:43] Easy.

[00:18:44] Like it's it's I was saying to Aaron on the last episode that.

[00:18:49] I truly don't think if you've never played Silent Hill 2, you don't need to play the old

[00:18:55] one.

[00:18:55] Now you can just play the new one.

[00:18:57] And I know.

[00:18:58] Yeah, I know people are going to come at me and say like, well, there's Silent Hill 2 original

[00:19:03] purists, which is fine.

[00:19:04] I'm not saying don't play the game.

[00:19:06] I'm just saying that the same way that I feel about Resident Evil 2 remake the same way

[00:19:09] that I feel about Dead Space remake the same way that I feel about Resident Evil 4 remake.

[00:19:13] Like if you haven't ever played those games, you don't need to play the old ones.

[00:19:17] Now you can play the only ones, especially since the original versions aren't easily available.

[00:19:24] Like Silent Hill 2 on the PS2 goes for like fucking $300.

[00:19:29] It's insane.

[00:19:30] It's like PS2 games are absurd.

[00:19:32] They're the same thing as GameCube games now.

[00:19:35] It's so fucking annoying trying to get a hold of the Xenosaga games, you know, trying to

[00:19:39] do some of those.

[00:19:40] Like what the fuck?

[00:19:41] Like Xenosaga 3 is like consistently $300 whenever I got a used game score.

[00:19:45] Dude, I got a pretty sick deal I can hook you up with on the Xeno games.

[00:19:49] Let me know, Jerry.

[00:19:51] Let me know.

[00:19:51] There's a website called CD Romance and you can just go get those games right now.

[00:19:55] We're going to have to have a private Discord call after this.

[00:19:59] Shout out to CD Romance.

[00:20:02] The only thing I would say to push back on what you were saying, Jerry, was like in terms

[00:20:06] of new players coming to these new remakes and not going back.

[00:20:11] I would say there's a lot of value going back and replaying the original Dead Space remake

[00:20:16] because as much as I love, I adore the new remake from EA Motive.

[00:20:21] I still think that there are aspects of the original Dead Space remake that like the color

[00:20:27] grading, the shade, like shadow effects, like some of the fog effects, like just the audio

[00:20:33] design even like in the original just is so good that people owe it to themselves to go

[00:20:38] back and kind of like because you can put it backwards compatible through Xbox.

[00:20:42] Right.

[00:20:42] So it's like very easy.

[00:20:45] So if you have game bass, you just go back there and try that.

[00:20:47] I say that because it's like I don't I only think that gaming enthusiasts would even do that.

[00:20:54] But those are the people that do need to go back and like check out and like see the

[00:20:57] difference between the two.

[00:20:58] The kids who are picking it up.

[00:20:59] It's like, yeah, you can play Dead Space remake and you're not going to know this difference.

[00:21:03] Yeah.

[00:21:03] And that's kind of my sentiment with Silent Hill 2 remake right now is that it kind of it

[00:21:09] just improved on every aspect of the original game.

[00:21:12] In a way that I think it makes the original game obsolete at this point.

[00:21:17] And for me, I like and I love the original game.

[00:21:19] I'm a I'm a big fan of it.

[00:21:20] But at this point, if I were to get into a situation where I'm like, I feel like I want

[00:21:26] to play Silent Hill 2 again, I'm not going to play the original.

[00:21:29] I'm probably going to play the remake again.

[00:21:30] And a lot of that is because they've made so many improvements on what was already really

[00:21:36] cool in the original to the point where I'm like, I just want to relive that again.

[00:21:41] Yeah.

[00:21:42] Which is not.

[00:21:43] I never I never in a million years thought I was going to say that about this game.

[00:21:47] You know what makes me depressed as hell, though, is the fact that we are looking at

[00:21:52] it right now, looking at just like the market and what's going on with these different companies

[00:21:56] is that we are infinitely more likely to get a Silent Hill 3 remake than we are a Dead

[00:22:01] Space 2 remake.

[00:22:02] And that makes me incredibly silent.

[00:22:05] Hey, I make where's my Silent Hill 1 remake?

[00:22:09] Yeah.

[00:22:10] Do you want that?

[00:22:10] Do you is it is it is Silent Hill 1?

[00:22:13] So drastically different enough from to from a story perspective.

[00:22:18] I feel like I feel like this is kind of my take on the thing, because there's I've seen

[00:22:24] a lot of like debate online because I guess Bloober even came out and they were like, we're

[00:22:28] not done with Silent Hill.

[00:22:29] So they I think they must have immediately got like a contract renewal from Konami to be

[00:22:36] like, OK, so this is selling fucking good already.

[00:22:39] Please sign here.

[00:22:40] We want you to do another one.

[00:22:41] And like there's been a lot of debate on like what should be the next one, whether that's

[00:22:46] three or they go back to one or they do an like a whole other thing by themselves or four.

[00:22:53] I think it should be one because the same way that Resident Evil 2 contrasts with Resident

[00:23:01] Evil 2 remake like those are very different games, but they're the same, but they're very,

[00:23:08] very different.

[00:23:09] And I feel like the setting of like if we just got to go back to Silent Hill, because

[00:23:16] even if people became fans now because of Silent Hill 2 remake, I feel like going back to the

[00:23:22] town, you're going to be like, oh, fuck, we're back here again.

[00:23:26] And you're going to be kind of familiar.

[00:23:28] But it like and it also kind of sets the stage for a lot of the lore within Silent Hill

[00:23:35] that you don't really get from Silent Hill 2.

[00:23:37] Silent Hill 2 is very like self-contained in its story, really.

[00:23:41] Like you don't need to play the first one.

[00:23:43] That's something that I'm noticing about it as I'm playing through it right now.

[00:23:46] It's like I love how it's one of the things that I like the most about it, how it like

[00:23:49] kind of drops me in as a person who knows nothing about Silent Hill except for that awful

[00:23:54] Sean Bean movie, except people really like that movie.

[00:23:57] So hey, man, I like that movie.

[00:23:58] I like that movie.

[00:23:59] I like that movie.

[00:23:59] It's shout out to the people who like that movie.

[00:24:01] It is.

[00:24:01] It's an art house film.

[00:24:02] Fuck a pyramid head rips a person's skin from their body.

[00:24:04] It's not a horror movie.

[00:24:05] It's an art house film, okay?

[00:24:06] Yeah.

[00:24:07] And that's fine.

[00:24:08] But like I think that being my only basis for Silent Hill and then jumping in here and

[00:24:13] not just wandering in to a conversation like a lost aimless child not knowing what's going

[00:24:18] on.

[00:24:19] I mean, I just I love how kind of like esoteric and unapproachable it is.

[00:24:24] It's great.

[00:24:24] Well, it's funny because I kept seeing people complaining about how unnatural that some of

[00:24:29] the dialogue was and like how the people are like really weird and like voice acting

[00:24:33] really weird.

[00:24:34] Oh, so you're just complaining about Silent Hill.

[00:24:36] That's it?

[00:24:37] Yeah.

[00:24:37] You're not complaining about this game in particular.

[00:24:39] That's what Silent Hill is.

[00:24:41] It's just like just ungodly weirdness.

[00:24:46] And it'd be weird to see them go to three for the next remake because three is pretty much

[00:24:52] a follow up like what?

[00:24:53] To two.

[00:24:54] Ten years later from one.

[00:24:56] Yeah.

[00:24:56] Yeah.

[00:24:57] Interesting, really.

[00:24:58] So it's like a direct continuation from one.

[00:25:00] I really feel like one is the right way to go or they just get to do their own thing.

[00:25:05] And the story between one through three is completely like James's story is completely

[00:25:10] disconnected from the characters in one and three.

[00:25:13] Totally.

[00:25:13] Yeah.

[00:25:14] It's what Harry Mason in the first game.

[00:25:16] Harry Mason was in the first one.

[00:25:18] And then he gets his daughter Sharon or Cheryl.

[00:25:21] And then that's the main character of Silent Hill three.

[00:25:24] Yeah.

[00:25:25] And then I heard things totally different.

[00:25:26] So I kind of trying to move on because, dude, I've been watching this trailer for Mouse

[00:25:32] PI for hire.

[00:25:34] Oh, yes, sir.

[00:25:34] I've been waiting for you guys to talk about this game.

[00:25:37] This looks fucking tight.

[00:25:39] It's like Cuphead first person gore.

[00:25:42] Yes.

[00:25:43] Yeah.

[00:25:44] Like Bioshock, like Steamboat Willie Bioshock.

[00:25:47] Dude, it looks so fucking cool.

[00:25:50] Dude, as a black and white enthusiast, like this definitely does something to me.

[00:25:54] I don't know.

[00:25:55] I don't know if I'll buy it like outright.

[00:25:57] If it's something that I'm going to jump into like off the rip, but it looks pretty good,

[00:26:02] man.

[00:26:02] There's little crimes you can solve and shit too.

[00:26:05] Oh my God.

[00:26:06] I don't care about Subnautica, Eden Zero, I don't give a shit, Turtle Strands.

[00:26:12] I don't know.

[00:26:12] What do you guys think?

[00:26:13] Get into those Remedy games, dude.

[00:26:15] I mean, holy fuck.

[00:26:16] But also, go ahead.

[00:26:18] Sorry, go ahead.

[00:26:18] Go ahead.

[00:26:19] We're talking about Remedy.

[00:26:20] I was going to say.

[00:26:21] I'll make two DLC.

[00:26:23] Yeah.

[00:26:24] Firebreak.

[00:26:25] The Lake House.

[00:26:25] The Lake House.

[00:26:26] The Lake House.

[00:26:26] Did you see the Lake House trailer?

[00:26:28] Holy shit.

[00:26:29] Does that look fucking insane?

[00:26:31] I actually haven't seen it, but that's because I haven't played Island Wake 2 yet.

[00:26:34] and it's on the list.

[00:26:36] It's on the list, Jerry.

[00:26:38] It's on the list.

[00:26:39] I know.

[00:26:39] I need to get in there.

[00:26:40] Why are any of you guys talking about Wheel World?

[00:26:43] God damn it.

[00:26:44] It's a fucking bike.

[00:26:45] It's a bicycle van with crafting and secret hunting, dude.

[00:26:49] What the fuck?

[00:26:51] This looks fucking sweet, actually.

[00:26:54] I will say, though, but shout out to Sega.

[00:26:56] It was a hot dog bike.

[00:26:57] Honestly, they're killing it.

[00:26:59] And it's like the RGG Studios is also killing it.

[00:27:01] Apparently, Yakuza Pirate.

[00:27:03] Oh, my God.

[00:27:04] Yakuza is in the wild.

[00:27:06] It looks good, but apparently it got pushed up.

[00:27:09] It went up a week because the development is going so well.

[00:27:13] So it's already done, and they're just refining from this point.

[00:27:16] I'm like, fuck yeah.

[00:27:17] Bless that studio, man.

[00:27:19] They're killing it.

[00:27:20] They're killing it.

[00:27:20] Has anybody played Infinite Wealth?

[00:27:22] Because I can't wait to get into that.

[00:27:23] I have not yet.

[00:27:25] The only person I know of that has played it is Knave.

[00:27:29] And I embodied it in like two weeks.

[00:27:49] So kind of transitioning into our topic here today, the battle theme for that game for Infinite Wealth.

[00:27:56] He showed me the song Barracuda.

[00:27:58] Holy fuck.

[00:27:59] Look it up after this.

[00:28:00] It's such a fucking ball slapper, dude.

[00:28:03] Barracuda from Dragon Infinite Wealth.

[00:28:07] Not that one.

[00:28:08] It's a much better one.

[00:28:10] I was like the exact song.

[00:28:10] It's a much better one.

[00:28:13] Well, what could be better than Barracuda?

[00:28:15] Why don't we get into our picks for best battle music?

[00:28:21] Ending the show right there with the two Barracudas.

[00:28:25] Yes, sir.

[00:28:26] Best battle music.

[00:28:27] Well, let's let the guests go for it.

[00:28:29] Nick, Will, which one of you guys wants to showcase the first pick?

[00:28:34] Go ahead, Will.

[00:28:35] No, no.

[00:28:36] Since I see you have your game of the year at the very top there, I was like, you come

[00:28:40] out swinging.

[00:28:42] All right.

[00:28:43] All right.

[00:28:44] I'll just I'll start off.

[00:28:45] I'll start off strong.

[00:28:46] OK, I'll start off strong and then I'll taper back.

[00:28:48] It doesn't have to be in order either.

[00:28:49] You can go out of order, too, if you want.

[00:28:52] I already set him up.

[00:28:53] He has to do it in order.

[00:28:53] But he already.

[00:28:54] Yeah, I got to knock it out of the park with this one.

[00:28:56] OK, so I played Final Fantasy seven rebirth earlier this year.

[00:29:00] I played it at release and it took me about a month and a half to to go through it.

[00:29:04] I think I have like one hundred and ten hundred and fifteen hours all together in that game

[00:29:09] done so many mini games.

[00:29:12] But like I will say this, that the the new team that they got together to put like it's

[00:29:18] it's a group of people.

[00:29:19] I think there's like three or four composers that they got together over at Square Enix to

[00:29:25] work on the soundtrack.

[00:29:26] And obviously, Nobuo Uematsu came in and he always does tinkering with the themes.

[00:29:30] He like tinkers with like one song and then they all kind of just like paying off of each

[00:29:34] other and continue working.

[00:29:36] But the entire the entire soundtrack of Final Fantasy seven rebirth, it's like I've seen

[00:29:43] people react to another franchise that we're going to talk about later in the show.

[00:29:47] A lot of Shin Megami Tensei and Persona games where it's like the streamers will be like

[00:29:51] playing, they're playing, they're talking to chat.

[00:29:53] And then the music is so good that they can't help themselves, but like stop what they're

[00:29:57] doing and just like listen to their headphones.

[00:30:00] That was me listening to this, like going through the grasslands for the first time as a person

[00:30:05] who had never played the original Final Fantasy seven.

[00:30:08] Everything is new to me as they were going forward.

[00:30:10] And of course, FF seven remake was like excellent.

[00:30:13] It was S tier as it was when I was going there.

[00:30:16] You know, I hopped off with it, but like to get ready for rebirth.

[00:30:19] I ended up finishing it in like January or December last year.

[00:30:23] And it was just like this boss boss rush after boss rush that just like it just feeds that

[00:30:28] constant dopamine feedback loop.

[00:30:30] But regardless of the game being good, the soundtracks are just mind breaking.

[00:30:35] And like the way I would say that like this is not an uncommon thing that we see anymore

[00:30:39] with like huge open world RPGs where you as a player character are traversing through

[00:30:44] different biomes in the music.

[00:30:46] Like, you know, it adjusts with you, you know, like it's Final Fantasy 16.

[00:30:49] Yeah, they made like a, you know, a big deal about Masayoshi Soken.

[00:30:54] Yeah, this is this is it.

[00:30:56] This is the battle edit right here.

[00:30:57] And this is a rendition of the song that you hear while you're going throughout the open

[00:31:02] world.

[00:31:03] It's so it's so good.

[00:31:21] I'll tell you that the song that got me in this game was is it Mount Guga or Galoo?

[00:31:30] Look at Nick go, dude.

[00:31:32] Holy shit.

[00:31:35] Dude, that's going to be me with a couple of my picks.

[00:31:38] Holy shit.

[00:31:41] You'd get it.

[00:31:42] I'm probably going to flip my desk over for one of mine.

[00:31:45] I want to go to war.

[00:31:46] I listen to this song and like my friends.

[00:31:49] I don't want to go to war.

[00:31:49] I don't want to go to war.

[00:31:50] I want to shoot it as you people.

[00:31:54] I mean, Rufus.

[00:31:56] I want to try to eat me to work.

[00:31:57] Put me to work, Rufus.

[00:31:58] Put me to work.

[00:32:00] You know what I mean?

[00:32:01] Like, I did the review with Colby Moyer from the Switch It Up podcast.

[00:32:05] I fucking dragged his ass out of retirement because he loves FF7.

[00:32:09] So I got him on the show to do this, this like game with me.

[00:32:13] Colby and I, and like he was saying, he was like, he works out.

[00:32:17] And like Colby is like, he's a PE teacher.

[00:32:19] He works out all the time.

[00:32:20] And he's like, yeah, man, I got this on my, I got this on my playlist for the gym.

[00:32:24] I list, I load it up every time I need to do bench press.

[00:32:26] And I'm just like, that's the feeling that I get when I'm doing this.

[00:32:29] It's, it's incredible.

[00:32:30] And it's just like everything that you do in the combat is so fast paced.

[00:32:34] Even though you think it's like turn-based, it's this blend between ATV turn-based combat.

[00:32:38] And you're switching in between Barret and Tifa and Cloud and you're using your limit breakers.

[00:32:43] And not only are you using your limit breakers, you're stopping, you're like building up your summon gauge bar.

[00:32:48] You're summoning fucking gods out of the sky.

[00:32:51] And then you do the coolest moves in the game, which are synergy moves.

[00:32:55] Where like Tifa, like we'll do like a team-up move with Cloud and she'll fucking jump on his sword.

[00:32:59] And he'll just like toss her at a giant tank and she'll just explode.

[00:33:04] Aaron, you would love this game if you could play it.

[00:33:06] Oh no.

[00:33:09] Yeah.

[00:33:10] I know, man.

[00:33:12] Everybody subscribe to the Patreon so Aaron can get FF7.

[00:33:16] Or, I mean, please.

[00:33:18] It's probably cheaper to fully build a PC.

[00:33:21] Yeah, that's true.

[00:33:23] That's true.

[00:33:25] One of these days I'll go through the process of building a PC, man.

[00:33:29] I'm sure it'll come to have the desktop.

[00:33:31] Xbox maybe someday.

[00:33:34] Maybe someday.

[00:33:35] We still have to see like the original fucking base version.

[00:33:41] Yeah, that's true.

[00:33:45] Yeah.

[00:33:45] It's so good.

[00:33:46] Man, you brought me back with this.

[00:33:48] Because I also really, really love this fucking game.

[00:33:54] Jerry, isn't this your favorite Final Fantasy?

[00:33:55] How it's blended with...

[00:33:58] There are like three different motifs in this one song.

[00:34:03] And three different like character themes.

[00:34:05] It's incredible.

[00:34:07] Aaron, you should already know.

[00:34:09] Final Fantasy VII is my second favorite Final Fantasy.

[00:34:11] Next to Final Fantasy IX.

[00:34:14] Jerry, I bought Final Fantasy IX on Steam.

[00:34:17] Do you think that's a good way to play it in the Year of Our Lord 2024?

[00:34:20] Or should I just emulate it as God's intended?

[00:34:27] It depends on how you emulate it.

[00:34:29] I do.

[00:34:30] Like, I would say...

[00:34:32] You're going to try to preach fucking FPGA?

[00:34:35] No, no.

[00:34:36] I mean, that too.

[00:34:38] But if you can emulate it...

[00:34:40] Do you have an OLED TV?

[00:34:42] Yeah.

[00:34:43] Okay.

[00:34:44] So if you can emulate it and have it on your OLED TV...

[00:34:48] I would highly suggest turning on scan lines.

[00:34:51] So that it's very heavily like scan lined with a CRT effect.

[00:34:55] Not like the weird like old looking thing.

[00:34:58] Just like have nice scan lines.

[00:35:00] Just because I really think that the original style...

[00:35:05] And even just the original aspect ratio.

[00:35:07] Like don't try to do any like widescreen hacks or anything.

[00:35:09] Just keep it 4.3 nice scan lines on that OLED TV.

[00:35:14] It's probably going to look...

[00:35:15] In my eye, it looks better that way.

[00:35:19] Okay.

[00:35:20] But if you already have it on Steam, then by all means just play it that way.

[00:35:23] I'm sure it's going to be fine.

[00:35:25] That's just a personal preference of mine.

[00:35:27] I got you.

[00:35:27] Since I forced Sir Nicholas to go with his first one...

[00:35:31] I'm also going to have to go with my first one.

[00:35:33] I'm going to assume that we did these to where it was like...

[00:35:35] The first thing that comes to mind is like the first one you threw on there.

[00:35:38] So that's at least what I did.

[00:35:40] So my first thing whenever I think of badass battle music, it's definitely going to be DMC5's Bury the Light.

[00:35:48] Which is Virgil's battle music.

[00:35:49] I'm about to flip this desk over.

[00:35:50] This shit is nuts.

[00:35:52] I'm going to throw this bottle across the room.

[00:35:54] That's so good.

[00:35:56] You throw this on in the shower first thing when you wake up in the morning.

[00:35:59] You haven't done anything else.

[00:36:01] Bury the Light.

[00:36:02] It's the whole day started.

[00:36:04] It's the kind of thing where once again, like I've said this many times, but DMC5 infamously my favorite game that I've never beaten.

[00:36:11] Because I kind of just don't want it to end.

[00:36:13] So like I got halfway through the game and I was like, no, if I beat this game, I might not ever play it again.

[00:36:18] But if I never beat it, I always have the opportunity to come back and play it.

[00:36:21] You just chip away at it like a little bit each year.

[00:36:24] That's what I used to do.

[00:36:25] Like every four to five months, I play like one level and then I wouldn't touch it again.

[00:36:29] It's a fucking song, dude.

[00:36:32] But look, if there's one thing Capcom Sound Team is going to do, it's going to be put out stupid, crazy ass music.

[00:36:38] Listen to this.

[00:36:46] And the fucking cool thing about this, and this all like the battle themes for Capcom, or at least in DMC5,

[00:36:52] is that this song plays in chunks as you get like better at the fighting.

[00:36:57] So if you're not familiar with Devil May Cry, as you put combos and you don't take hits and you just do flashy stuff,

[00:37:05] it increases your meter from like D, C, B, A up to S.

[00:37:11] And then finally triple S, which is in DMC5, it's called Smokin' Sexy Style.

[00:37:15] But as you level your way up through those like numbers, it actually slowly brings in chunks of the song.

[00:37:22] So you'll get like the instrumentals at like A.

[00:37:23] And then at like S, you'll get like some more of like the crazy drums and like the guitars coming in.

[00:37:30] What the fuck?

[00:37:30] And then once you hit quadruple S, it'll actually bring in the lyrics.

[00:37:34] So it's like building that song as you're getting better at it.

[00:37:38] And it like encourages you to just fucking get good.

[00:37:40] That's cool as shit.

[00:37:42] Yeah.

[00:37:43] I remember back in the day with Devil May Cry 3,

[00:37:46] with, um, who played the fucking soundtrack for that?

[00:37:50] I forget who it was, but it was very like,

[00:37:52] it wasn't nearly as heavy as this.

[00:37:54] It was more like, um,

[00:37:56] like Comba Christ kind of shit.

[00:37:59] This is just off the fucking charts, dude.

[00:38:05] Dude, we're just singing.

[00:38:08] Awesome.

[00:38:08] This is 10 minutes long, by the way,

[00:38:10] so we'll give it like another minute.

[00:38:12] We don't have to listen.

[00:38:13] Yeah, you can't do the whole thing.

[00:38:15] It's like,

[00:38:16] it's like you took doom music and cross it over with like periphery.

[00:38:21] I like that.

[00:38:22] That's good.

[00:38:22] It's so fucking good.

[00:38:24] Yeah.

[00:38:25] Just the lyrics too.

[00:38:27] Just like, so it's so edgy in a good way.

[00:38:29] Like I'm sitting here listening to them like piece by piece.

[00:38:31] And I'm just like, God, this is, you know, super, super edgy.

[00:38:34] And I love it so much.

[00:38:35] Like my face is a demon of death.

[00:38:38] I really appreciate the fact that like of all of our picks on here,

[00:38:42] that we have two, two boys who went with Mick Gordon, 2016.

[00:38:47] Yeah, dude.

[00:38:48] You know, how could you not?

[00:38:49] Mick Gordon's a real one.

[00:38:50] You know what I mean?

[00:38:51] He's a real one.

[00:38:52] You can't, you can't leave them off the list.

[00:38:53] If you talk about battle things, that's illegal.

[00:38:56] Oh, I should have picked something from fucking.

[00:38:58] I didn't have any room.

[00:39:00] I didn't have any room.

[00:39:01] But hey, you're talking about Mick Gordon though.

[00:39:03] Casey Edwards is the guy that does like a lot of the,

[00:39:06] at least these kind of, you know, rock musics here for DMC5.

[00:39:09] I'm putting him right up there.

[00:39:10] If you talk about the Mount Rushmore of video games,

[00:39:14] like composers, you know, putting together music.

[00:39:17] Mick Gordon's up there.

[00:39:18] Marty O'Donnell's up there.

[00:39:19] And then we got to have, of course, Casey Edwards.

[00:39:22] You know who else is really top tier?

[00:39:25] And I feel like you're going to see them show up in a lot more stuff now

[00:39:27] is Jeff Makes Music.

[00:39:29] Okay.

[00:39:29] What would I know Jeff Makes Music from?

[00:39:31] He did.

[00:39:32] So there's a kind of a common misconception that

[00:39:35] Mick Gordon did the soundtrack to Atomic Heart.

[00:39:40] But that was Jeff Makes Music did the majority of that.

[00:39:44] And then I think Mick Gordon kind of came in and like produced it

[00:39:47] and added some stuff to it.

[00:39:49] But it was mostly Jeff.

[00:39:51] I can't remember what his last name is.

[00:39:53] Makes Music.

[00:39:54] But his handle on everything is Jeff Makes Music.

[00:39:56] You just said it.

[00:39:56] It's Makes Music.

[00:39:57] He's definitely, he does make music.

[00:40:00] And yeah, he definitely has like that Mick Gordon style.

[00:40:04] Speaking of Mick Gordon, Aaron, if I may.

[00:40:07] Yeah.

[00:40:08] If I may flip this fucking desk over right now.

[00:40:11] So, BFG Division.

[00:40:14] There it is.

[00:40:16] I don't even know if I can talk through this.

[00:40:22] So, I was thinking about picking The Only Thing That They Fear Is You,

[00:40:25] which is I think a better song than this.

[00:40:27] However, oh dude, this was the song when I played this fucking game

[00:40:32] that I was like, oh shit.

[00:40:36] What the fuck?

[00:40:37] It's just melted off of your skull.

[00:40:39] It's like you're ascended.

[00:40:40] You pick up the fucking BFG and it's like time to fight this giant ass boss

[00:40:46] and this music just kicks in and it's just fucking chaos.

[00:40:50] And you literally are just ripping through everything in sight,

[00:40:54] blasting shit, ripping things to pieces,

[00:40:57] and just blasting this thing.

[00:40:58] And this music is just fucking ripping.

[00:41:03] It's a chainsawing and tearing.

[00:41:07] Yeah.

[00:41:09] So, fun fact, I also produce music as like a side thing.

[00:41:16] And my music is 100% dedicated to Mick Gordon.

[00:41:21] It is basically just Mick Gordon if Mick Gordon produced a Nine Inch Nails album.

[00:41:26] That's all my music is.

[00:41:27] And I'm not even afraid to like shout those things out.

[00:41:30] And yeah, I remember when I first heard this song,

[00:41:33] I was like, I must replicate this sound and I have to do it now before everybody starts doing it.

[00:41:38] And guess what?

[00:41:39] Fucking everybody's doing this shit now.

[00:41:41] There's so many metal bands that I hear now that are doing this shit that I'm like,

[00:41:46] I don't know if you know where this is from,

[00:41:48] but your sound is a Mick Gordon sound.

[00:41:51] And it is such a fucking ballsy sound that like is instantly recognizable.

[00:41:57] Instantly.

[00:41:59] Yeah, you know, shout out to Mick Gordon for all of the great work he's done.

[00:42:03] But do you guys know what happened between him and ZeniMax?

[00:42:07] Did you read that?

[00:42:09] It's fucking tragic.

[00:42:11] Can you imagine?

[00:42:13] And not only the...

[00:42:14] Okay, so for the people who don't know,

[00:42:17] and the listeners who don't know,

[00:42:19] Mick Gordon, arguably like one of the best composers,

[00:42:22] best modern composers that's outside of classical music in the video game industry,

[00:42:27] period, point blank.

[00:42:28] People just aren't as talented as him.

[00:42:30] And I'm sorry, but it's just the truth.

[00:42:33] Like he has since...

[00:42:34] He does what he does incredibly well.

[00:42:36] Anyway, he created the score,

[00:42:41] which is the adaptive score for Doom 2016.

[00:42:44] He created the original soundtrack.

[00:42:46] Those are two separate pieces of work

[00:42:47] that he had to get done in the original game for Doom.

[00:42:51] He did a great job, won all kinds of awards for it,

[00:42:55] made id Software and ZeniMax all kinds of money, right?

[00:42:58] They contract him back for Doom Eternal.

[00:43:01] And he's working in Ireland.

[00:43:03] I don't know if he is Irish traditionally,

[00:43:05] if he just lives there, but he works in Ireland.

[00:43:08] Yeah, so he was living overseas

[00:43:10] while he was trying to produce the score

[00:43:12] and like the adaptive like sound design for Doom Eternal.

[00:43:16] And while this was going on,

[00:43:18] he was going unpaid by ZeniMax for months and months and months.

[00:43:22] Because they were just,

[00:43:24] they were moving dates,

[00:43:25] they were shifting things around

[00:43:26] and they were putting crunch on him.

[00:43:28] This man was working like 72, 80 hour weeks

[00:43:31] for like three months back to back.

[00:43:34] Unpaid.

[00:43:35] Unpaid.

[00:43:36] He would send invoices

[00:43:37] and he would follow up with the payroll managers

[00:43:39] and he would send like all of the leaders like emails

[00:43:42] and chain emails together

[00:43:43] and he would get fucking ignored.

[00:43:45] And it would be until the very last straw,

[00:43:47] he would have to threaten legal action

[00:43:49] and then they would finally deposit a paycheck

[00:43:51] into his bank account.

[00:43:52] And not only that,

[00:43:53] they strung this out over a long, long period of time.

[00:43:56] Long time.

[00:43:57] Until at the very end,

[00:43:59] the,

[00:43:59] it was like the head of the studio

[00:44:01] that was over at id Software at the time.

[00:44:02] He's this fucking Bethesda cocksucker

[00:44:04] who had been working there forever.

[00:44:06] I'm sorry for my strong language,

[00:44:07] but he's a piece of shit.

[00:44:09] And reading what he does,

[00:44:11] it's just like,

[00:44:11] it was,

[00:44:12] it was the trashiest thing ever.

[00:44:14] He went and they debuted Doom Eternal.

[00:44:16] They're like,

[00:44:16] yeah,

[00:44:16] Doom Eternal.

[00:44:17] They go to one of the fucking showcases.

[00:44:19] They're like,

[00:44:19] this is going to be the greatest thing ever.

[00:44:21] And then they're like,

[00:44:22] at the same time,

[00:44:23] they're like,

[00:44:24] and at this day and date,

[00:44:25] we're going to drop the original soundtrack

[00:44:27] to Doom Eternal.

[00:44:28] They had told,

[00:44:29] they had told him,

[00:44:31] you know,

[00:44:31] they told Mick Gordon

[00:44:32] absolutely nothing about the original soundtrack.

[00:44:35] After he had followed up with him,

[00:44:36] like a month after beginning

[00:44:37] the production,

[00:44:38] he was like,

[00:44:39] are we going to do an OST for this as well?

[00:44:41] Crickets.

[00:44:41] They don't communicate anything to him at all.

[00:44:43] And it got to the point where it's like,

[00:44:46] there was this legal battle

[00:44:47] and he was like,

[00:44:47] I'm not making you original soundtrack.

[00:44:49] I haven't even been paid for everything

[00:44:51] that I've done for Doom Eternal.

[00:44:52] And not only that,

[00:44:53] he submitted asset files

[00:44:56] to like id software

[00:44:57] and they had an in-house guy

[00:44:59] who was doing all of like

[00:45:00] the audio production for them

[00:45:02] at the same time.

[00:45:02] And they took Mick's files

[00:45:04] without like it being done

[00:45:06] and tried to do their own work

[00:45:08] over top of his files

[00:45:09] to put into the final production.

[00:45:11] They basically plagiarized

[00:45:12] all of his fucking work.

[00:45:13] They plagiarized all his work

[00:45:14] and he like went out there

[00:45:15] and he like flew out to the studio

[00:45:17] and he sat down with the leaders

[00:45:18] and he played it for them.

[00:45:19] He was like,

[00:45:20] this is my work,

[00:45:21] but I did not do this.

[00:45:22] And he was like,

[00:45:23] you have to fucking pay me

[00:45:24] or else then they were like,

[00:45:25] we're not going to pay you.

[00:45:27] And so he was like,

[00:45:28] first of all,

[00:45:28] like he's never going to work

[00:45:29] with id software again.

[00:45:30] But second of all,

[00:45:31] he had to like actually sue them.

[00:45:32] He had to get an attorney.

[00:45:34] He had to start

[00:45:34] like proceeding cases.

[00:45:35] This is all in a Reddit post.

[00:45:37] You can go see this already.

[00:45:38] He wrote a huge Reddit post

[00:45:40] that was massive.

[00:45:41] I remember when it broke,

[00:45:42] I was like,

[00:45:43] wait, what?

[00:45:44] There's fucking drama going on?

[00:45:45] It was so thorough and detailed

[00:45:47] that I couldn't help but believe

[00:45:48] every single piece of it.

[00:45:49] It was sad.

[00:45:50] There's no reason

[00:45:50] why he would do that.

[00:45:51] But he was talking about

[00:45:52] how like he and his wife

[00:45:53] were like struggling.

[00:45:54] They couldn't even get

[00:45:55] their bills paid.

[00:45:56] They were like worried

[00:45:57] that they were going to get

[00:45:58] kicked out of their apartment

[00:45:59] where they were living

[00:46:00] at the time

[00:46:00] because like it just

[00:46:01] wasn't paying him.

[00:46:03] And it was just like,

[00:46:04] how shitty can you treat

[00:46:05] like one of the,

[00:46:06] like the greatest talents

[00:46:07] in the video game industry

[00:46:09] at this point in time?

[00:46:10] Like people love this man

[00:46:11] and you're going to treat him

[00:46:12] like this?

[00:46:13] It's insanity to me.

[00:46:14] I don't understand it.

[00:46:15] Yeah, man.

[00:46:16] You're not going to like

[00:46:17] hire John Williams

[00:46:18] on to do a score

[00:46:19] and be like,

[00:46:19] we're not going to pay you.

[00:46:20] Bob Dylan.

[00:46:21] Bob Dylan's doing the next to him.

[00:46:24] Hey, everybody's me.

[00:46:25] Bob Dylan.

[00:46:27] Da, da, da, da.

[00:46:28] I want the Randy Newman

[00:46:30] Randy Newman

[00:46:31] Doom soundtrack.

[00:46:32] Randy Newman.

[00:46:33] You got a demon.

[00:46:35] Rippin' and Terran

[00:46:37] Rippin' and Terran.

[00:46:40] Rippin' and Terran.

[00:46:42] Dude, speaking of Rippin',

[00:46:43] let's get some Shin Megami

[00:46:44] Tensei IV in this bitch.

[00:46:49] Oh man,

[00:46:50] this sounds like

[00:46:50] some new metal ass shit.

[00:46:51] I like it.

[00:46:58] Damn, this feels like

[00:47:00] Super Nest Out

[00:47:00] for some reason.

[00:47:01] It's kind of

[00:47:01] throws it back

[00:47:02] even though I've never

[00:47:02] played this game before.

[00:47:04] Now, what system

[00:47:05] was this on?

[00:47:06] 3DS.

[00:47:07] It's a PS1 game.

[00:47:08] 3DS.

[00:47:09] What?

[00:47:09] PS3?

[00:47:11] 3DS.

[00:47:11] Holy shit, let's go.

[00:47:12] Oh, this is coming out

[00:47:13] of those little speakers?

[00:47:14] Whoa.

[00:47:14] Yeah, bro.

[00:47:15] Whoa.

[00:47:16] 3DS has good music.

[00:47:17] Yeah, I fucking,

[00:47:18] I always had my,

[00:47:19] I played the fuck

[00:47:26] fucking awesome.

[00:47:27] this,

[00:47:27] this plays on,

[00:47:28] like,

[00:47:29] almost just like

[00:47:30] the main boss battles.

[00:47:32] So, like,

[00:47:32] there's,

[00:47:33] there's other,

[00:47:34] like,

[00:47:34] the boss battle

[00:47:35] against Lucifer

[00:47:35] has probably

[00:47:36] the hardest

[00:47:37] fucking track

[00:47:39] in the entire game.

[00:47:40] But, uh,

[00:47:41] this one is just like

[00:47:44] fucking solo, dude.

[00:47:47] Shit.

[00:47:48] Hell yeah.

[00:47:49] And just to confirm,

[00:47:49] you said the boss battle

[00:47:50] against Lucifer, right?

[00:47:52] Against Satan himself.

[00:47:54] Yeah, yeah.

[00:47:55] Classic Japanese.

[00:47:56] Either you're fighting

[00:47:56] God or the devil.

[00:47:57] One of the two.

[00:47:58] Yeah, dude.

[00:47:59] If you go the,

[00:48:00] um,

[00:48:01] if you go the,

[00:48:01] the law route

[00:48:03] in the game,

[00:48:03] like,

[00:48:04] there's,

[00:48:04] there's multiple paths

[00:48:04] you can take.

[00:48:05] There's good,

[00:48:05] neutral,

[00:48:06] and bad.

[00:48:06] There's routes.

[00:48:07] Yeah.

[00:48:07] If you take the,

[00:48:08] oh, hell yeah.

[00:48:10] If you take the bad path,

[00:48:12] you fight Merkaba,

[00:48:13] which is like God's chariot

[00:48:14] or whatever the fuck.

[00:48:15] So basically,

[00:48:15] if you go the neutral route,

[00:48:17] you fight God himself,

[00:48:18] which is also a pretty

[00:48:19] fucking good track.

[00:48:20] But, you know.

[00:48:23] This is cool.

[00:48:24] I like this.

[00:48:27] Like when Nick heard routes,

[00:48:29] he started getting,

[00:48:30] um,

[00:48:30] I was like,

[00:48:31] yeah,

[00:48:31] what is that?

[00:48:31] What is that series called?

[00:48:33] Three houses type shit.

[00:48:34] Yeah.

[00:48:34] You're just like,

[00:48:35] uh oh.

[00:48:35] Yeah,

[00:48:36] you know,

[00:48:36] uh oh.

[00:48:37] I can play this game

[00:48:37] four different times.

[00:48:39] Yeah, dude.

[00:48:39] Now,

[00:48:40] not to,

[00:48:41] not to,

[00:48:42] you know,

[00:48:43] shift the spotlight here,

[00:48:44] but like,

[00:48:44] I'm looking at Will's next pick

[00:48:46] and I'm like,

[00:48:47] okay,

[00:48:47] so we're staying within the,

[00:48:49] uh,

[00:48:50] the realm of the Atlas games here.

[00:48:53] And I'm curious about this

[00:48:55] because I am like this close

[00:48:57] to buying that game.

[00:48:58] Have you heard the song before?

[00:49:00] Just do it, Jerry.

[00:49:01] Have you heard the song?

[00:49:02] Oh my goodness.

[00:49:02] Okay.

[00:49:03] Yeah,

[00:49:03] so when we get to it,

[00:49:04] I think this is going to make you

[00:49:05] buy the game

[00:49:06] because it pretty much

[00:49:08] made me buy the game.

[00:49:10] Like,

[00:49:10] I am like it.

[00:49:11] And I'm such a music fiend.

[00:49:12] Did you already buy it, Will?

[00:49:13] No, no, no.

[00:49:14] But you're going to make me.

[00:49:16] You're trash.

[00:49:17] I'll tell you what,

[00:49:17] I'll buy this.

[00:49:18] It's on the docket.

[00:49:19] It's on the docket.

[00:49:20] I mean,

[00:49:21] that's already happening.

[00:49:21] Like,

[00:49:22] I think before we finish this episode up,

[00:49:23] we're going to have UFO 50.

[00:49:24] That's the same thing that happened before.

[00:49:26] Is UFO 50 on PS5?

[00:49:28] Yep.

[00:49:28] Not yet.

[00:49:28] It's only PC.

[00:49:29] It's available.

[00:49:29] It's only PC.

[00:49:31] All right,

[00:49:31] only PC.

[00:49:31] I'm safe.

[00:49:32] I'm fucking safe, Ben.

[00:49:33] We're going to the micro center this weekend

[00:49:35] and we're going to get you,

[00:49:36] we're going to get you a build set up.

[00:49:37] I only have a Chromebook.

[00:49:38] I can't play anything on my PC,

[00:49:39] so I'm saved.

[00:49:40] You can definitely play UFO 50.

[00:49:41] Don't say laptop.

[00:49:43] Will,

[00:49:44] I promise you,

[00:49:45] if UFO 50 can play

[00:49:47] on my dumpy ass laptop,

[00:49:49] you can run it on

[00:49:50] whatever the fuck you have.

[00:49:51] I promise you.

[00:49:52] I'm going to,

[00:49:53] can it run on a potato?

[00:49:55] The game itself

[00:49:55] is like 350 megabytes.

[00:49:58] For 50 games.

[00:49:59] Like the old school doom.

[00:50:00] Can I run it on a calculator?

[00:50:01] Later.

[00:50:03] Oh,

[00:50:04] here we go.

[00:50:04] I haven't listened to this.

[00:50:05] Is this metaphor?

[00:50:06] Yep.

[00:50:07] So this is the metaphor battle theme.

[00:50:08] If I'm not mistaken,

[00:50:09] this is when you get the advantage

[00:50:10] when you attack it

[00:50:11] in the old world

[00:50:12] and then go into

[00:50:13] the turn-based section.

[00:50:15] But yeah,

[00:50:16] this is when it boots up

[00:50:16] and I was listening.

[00:50:17] I was like,

[00:50:17] okay,

[00:50:17] it's kind of nice.

[00:50:18] It's kind of going

[00:50:19] and then it starts to hit.

[00:50:22] Hell yeah.

[00:50:24] Is this some of it out?

[00:50:25] Yeah.

[00:50:26] Wake up.

[00:50:27] Wake up.

[00:50:27] Wake up.

[00:50:28] Some monk,

[00:50:29] monk rapping.

[00:50:30] Monk rap.

[00:50:32] Dude,

[00:50:33] I was talking to Nave

[00:50:34] about this game

[00:50:34] and he says

[00:50:35] it's a lot like

[00:50:36] a balance of

[00:50:38] kind of like

[00:50:39] Persona-ish shit

[00:50:40] but also like

[00:50:40] mainline Shin Megami Tensei shit

[00:50:42] but like more

[00:50:43] combat than like

[00:50:44] high school garbage shit

[00:50:45] which sounds right up

[00:50:47] my fucking alley.

[00:50:48] So like

[00:50:48] I'm going to have to find

[00:50:50] a hundred hours

[00:50:50] to put into this game

[00:50:51] somehow,

[00:50:52] somewhere.

[00:50:53] That's the only thing

[00:50:54] that's intimidating to me

[00:50:55] is the length of this game

[00:50:57] because it's like

[00:50:59] I love Persona 5.

[00:51:01] I think it's

[00:51:01] perfect JRPG

[00:51:02] in my eyes

[00:51:03] but

[00:51:04] fuck these games

[00:51:05] are long man.

[00:51:07] Dude,

[00:51:08] the trumpets got me.

[00:51:09] Like after the rapping

[00:51:09] I was like

[00:51:10] oh damn,

[00:51:10] okay,

[00:51:10] this is pretty fire

[00:51:11] and then

[00:51:11] the horns kicked in

[00:51:13] and I was like

[00:51:14] yo!

[00:51:17] And I was like

[00:51:17] this is just a normal fight

[00:51:18] I'm fighting a fucking

[00:51:19] butterfly

[00:51:20] and the songs

[00:51:21] are going this hard.

[00:51:23] It's a butterfly.

[00:51:24] Dude,

[00:51:25] the ball crap

[00:51:25] here we go dude.

[00:51:26] Like a fat ass moth

[00:51:28] and I was like

[00:51:28] oh shit,

[00:51:30] this is crazy.

[00:51:31] I'm just hearing like

[00:51:32] banana,

[00:51:32] banana,

[00:51:33] banana,

[00:51:33] terracotta,

[00:51:34] banana,

[00:51:34] terracotta,

[00:51:35] terracotta,

[00:51:35] bye.

[00:51:39] So I was actually

[00:51:40] playing this the other day

[00:51:41] while I was getting ready

[00:51:42] for the episode

[00:51:42] like on through my music

[00:51:43] and I got to this one

[00:51:44] and I just had to like

[00:51:46] break out into dance

[00:51:47] and my daughter

[00:51:49] was like watching me

[00:51:49] and then she just started

[00:51:50] jumping up and down

[00:51:51] so we had a dance party

[00:51:54] to the metaphor battle theme

[00:51:55] in the living room.

[00:51:56] Hell yeah.

[00:51:57] Hell yeah.

[00:51:57] Look at that metaphor

[00:51:58] bringing families together.

[00:51:59] Thank you Atlas.

[00:52:01] So you can fucking fight God.

[00:52:03] Fuck you God.

[00:52:06] You fight God

[00:52:07] and also racism.

[00:52:11] Because we have the power

[00:52:12] of God and anime

[00:52:13] on our side.

[00:52:14] That's true.

[00:52:15] God,

[00:52:15] friendship and anime

[00:52:16] and also celibacy.

[00:52:19] Jerry,

[00:52:19] another reason

[00:52:20] that you might want

[00:52:20] to buy this

[00:52:21] is because

[00:52:21] in order to get around

[00:52:23] the town faster,

[00:52:24] you actually ride

[00:52:25] on your sword

[00:52:26] which hovers

[00:52:26] on the ground.

[00:52:28] So you get like

[00:52:28] a skateboard

[00:52:29] where you ride

[00:52:30] your sword

[00:52:30] like a hoverboard.

[00:52:32] You put the hard sell

[00:52:33] on them, bro.

[00:52:33] So it's the hard sell.

[00:52:34] They're going to

[00:52:35] fucking buy this right after.

[00:52:36] Persona X,

[00:52:36] Shimagami Tensei,

[00:52:38] X,

[00:52:38] back to the future,

[00:52:40] soul.

[00:52:40] You know what's funny though?

[00:52:41] Correct.

[00:52:42] I'm here complaining

[00:52:42] about the runtime

[00:52:44] of metaphor

[00:52:46] but I'm hearing

[00:52:47] that it takes

[00:52:48] upward of

[00:52:49] 250 to 300

[00:52:51] hours

[00:52:51] to fully finish

[00:52:53] UFO 50

[00:52:53] in its entirety.

[00:52:55] Oh fuck.

[00:52:55] Holy shit.

[00:52:56] I thought you were about to say

[00:52:57] it'd take that long

[00:52:57] to do metaphor.

[00:52:58] Then you're going to do it

[00:52:59] in its entirety.

[00:53:00] I already know you are.

[00:53:01] I already have

[00:53:02] 40 hours

[00:53:02] in the fucking thing

[00:53:03] and I have,

[00:53:04] I think I have

[00:53:05] seven games finished.

[00:53:08] Nice.

[00:53:08] Ish.

[00:53:09] Yeah.

[00:53:10] I haven't even scratched

[00:53:11] the surface on Grimstone

[00:53:12] which is like the full length

[00:53:14] JRPG but like,

[00:53:15] yeah.

[00:53:16] Nick,

[00:53:16] which one do you want

[00:53:17] to do next?

[00:53:17] Maybe I do play.

[00:53:18] Yes, please.

[00:53:19] I see this next one

[00:53:20] and I'm like loaded.

[00:53:21] So I,

[00:53:21] yeah,

[00:53:22] I definitely,

[00:53:22] I want to get away

[00:53:24] from Square Enix

[00:53:24] for a hot second

[00:53:25] and do a nice

[00:53:26] palette cleanser

[00:53:27] with an indie WRPG

[00:53:29] by the name of

[00:53:31] Chained Echoes.

[00:53:32] Let's go ahead

[00:53:32] and play it.

[00:53:33] I love the fucking

[00:53:34] piano at the beginning,

[00:53:35] dude.

[00:53:36] Or whatever that is.

[00:53:37] It's so good.

[00:53:47] I want to be the dude

[00:53:47] that plays a little like

[00:53:48] clunk,

[00:53:48] clunk,

[00:53:49] clunk.

[00:53:50] I want to,

[00:53:51] I want to play the flute.

[00:53:53] I want to be a flautist.

[00:53:54] Does that?

[00:53:54] Jerry's on my move.

[00:53:55] I'm like,

[00:53:56] that violin goes kind of crazy.

[00:53:57] Oh,

[00:53:57] that fucking violin.

[00:54:04] Yeah,

[00:54:04] they do this like

[00:54:05] jazzy like blend

[00:54:06] of a lot of different

[00:54:08] like kind of like

[00:54:09] staccato rhythms.

[00:54:10] It's so good

[00:54:10] and they do this like,

[00:54:11] like this isn't just

[00:54:12] the only banger they have.

[00:54:14] Like every environment

[00:54:15] has its own banger.

[00:54:17] Like,

[00:54:17] like Aaron said,

[00:54:18] like they're like

[00:54:18] and I know bangers.

[00:54:20] five to eight

[00:54:21] different battle themes

[00:54:22] and there are different

[00:54:22] boss themes

[00:54:23] that are all just like

[00:54:25] face meltingly good.

[00:54:26] You know what it reminded me of,

[00:54:28] Aaron?

[00:54:29] This reminded me of

[00:54:29] Secret of Mana.

[00:54:31] I could see that.

[00:54:34] Especially that

[00:54:34] the remastered soundtrack,

[00:54:36] like the,

[00:54:36] the one that they

[00:54:37] remade,

[00:54:37] or the one they made

[00:54:38] for the remake.

[00:54:43] Anytime that I can

[00:54:43] find a comparison

[00:54:44] to Secret of Mana,

[00:54:45] Mega Man,

[00:54:45] or Goemon,

[00:54:47] I mean,

[00:54:47] that's Jerry's thing.

[00:54:50] Son of a bitch.

[00:54:51] I'm in.

[00:54:54] Just the hi-hat work too?

[00:54:55] Are you kidding me?

[00:54:56] Yeah, dude.

[00:54:57] Fucking get out of here, man.

[00:55:00] Dude,

[00:55:00] I'm on board

[00:55:01] with that fucking final end.

[00:55:02] Holy shit.

[00:55:03] There's one guy

[00:55:04] on a hi-hat,

[00:55:05] I guarantee it.

[00:55:06] They were just,

[00:55:06] they put,

[00:55:06] oh no,

[00:55:07] this is,

[00:55:07] he's just playing

[00:55:08] on the corner

[00:55:08] and they were like,

[00:55:09] Craig,

[00:55:09] he's just playing

[00:55:09] on the corner.

[00:55:12] Craig in the corner.

[00:55:14] He's cranking his

[00:55:15] hog.

[00:55:16] Craig is cranking his

[00:55:17] hog in that hi-hat.

[00:55:21] So good.

[00:55:32] Yeah,

[00:55:33] and again,

[00:55:33] like this is a,

[00:55:34] this is a snapshot

[00:55:35] of that game.

[00:55:36] Also,

[00:55:37] like a lot of these RPGs,

[00:55:39] you're kind of like,

[00:55:40] like you imagine like

[00:55:41] whenever,

[00:55:41] if you've ever played

[00:55:42] Pokemon and you don't

[00:55:44] have the running shoes

[00:55:44] of the bike yet

[00:55:45] and you're moving

[00:55:46] kind of slow

[00:55:46] and you're like,

[00:55:47] fuck,

[00:55:47] I wish this guy

[00:55:48] moved kind of faster.

[00:55:50] Literally,

[00:55:50] like your dude

[00:55:51] is zooming

[00:55:52] around the screen.

[00:55:53] You press,

[00:55:53] you press B,

[00:55:54] your fucking character

[00:55:55] in Cheydeco

[00:55:55] is sporting.

[00:55:58] It's so fast.

[00:55:59] I love how fast it is.

[00:56:01] I love it.

[00:56:01] It's like,

[00:56:01] it makes everything snappy.

[00:56:04] Fuck yeah,

[00:56:05] The battles carry this game

[00:56:07] in my opinion.

[00:56:08] Like they're so,

[00:56:09] so good.

[00:56:10] Like the battle system

[00:56:12] is incredible.

[00:56:13] So like the fact

[00:56:14] that you're spending

[00:56:14] a lot of time

[00:56:15] in the battles

[00:56:15] and like hearing

[00:56:16] this banging music

[00:56:17] the whole time.

[00:56:18] Yeah.

[00:56:19] Yeah.

[00:56:19] It's insane.

[00:56:20] Good pick,

[00:56:20] man.

[00:56:20] Good pick.

[00:56:21] Now,

[00:56:22] here's my cheat.

[00:56:24] Okay.

[00:56:24] Oh,

[00:56:24] hear me out.

[00:56:27] I'm going to load

[00:56:28] this up a little bit.

[00:56:30] So,

[00:56:31] not technically

[00:56:32] the battle theme

[00:56:33] of Mega Man X.

[00:56:35] Okay.

[00:56:36] Because the battle theme

[00:56:37] is,

[00:56:37] it's fine

[00:56:38] along with the rest

[00:56:39] of the Mega Man games.

[00:56:40] The battle themes

[00:56:40] are always like,

[00:56:41] yeah,

[00:56:41] whatever.

[00:56:42] They're like,

[00:56:42] pretty much just like

[00:56:43] a four bar loop

[00:56:44] of a song.

[00:56:46] But the way

[00:56:47] that I feel

[00:56:48] I look at Mega Man

[00:56:50] games,

[00:56:51] the levels themselves

[00:56:52] are the battle music.

[00:56:54] Like,

[00:56:54] when I think about

[00:56:55] the boss,

[00:56:56] I think of the

[00:56:57] level music.

[00:56:59] And there's no

[00:57:00] fucking goddamn way

[00:57:02] that there is

[00:57:03] another Mega Man X

[00:57:05] song that slaps

[00:57:06] as fucking hard

[00:57:08] as Spark Mandrill.

[00:57:10] Ooh.

[00:57:15] Wait till you hear

[00:57:15] the fucking

[00:57:16] solos in this.

[00:57:23] I just love

[00:57:24] like the little

[00:57:25] old school

[00:57:26] like kind of

[00:57:26] beady synths.

[00:57:29] Oh.

[00:57:30] This feels good.

[00:57:52] Like,

[00:57:52] what the fuck,

[00:57:54] man?

[00:57:54] Who told you

[00:57:54] to go this hard?

[00:57:55] Who the hell

[00:57:55] is in the studio

[00:57:56] just crushing

[00:57:57] this track?

[00:57:58] Like,

[00:57:58] fucking Craig

[00:57:59] in the corner

[00:58:00] back there.

[00:58:00] Cracking the song.

[00:58:01] Fucking Craig

[00:58:02] is just

[00:58:04] fucking crushing

[00:58:05] solos in the corner.

[00:58:07] He's cranking

[00:58:07] it up so hard,

[00:58:08] honestly.

[00:58:09] It's just for a

[00:58:09] video game,

[00:58:10] don't go too hard.

[00:58:11] Craig in the corner.

[00:58:12] Craig in the corner.

[00:58:14] Oh.

[00:58:15] I love it.

[00:58:16] It's so good.

[00:58:18] And like,

[00:58:19] yeah,

[00:58:20] like the whole time

[00:58:20] and like,

[00:58:22] you know,

[00:58:22] Mega Man X

[00:58:23] is such a fast-paced

[00:58:25] upscale

[00:58:25] from playing

[00:58:26] the regular

[00:58:27] Mega Man games.

[00:58:28] And I remember

[00:58:29] just being a kid

[00:58:30] and pausing

[00:58:31] the game

[00:58:32] and being like,

[00:58:33] what is this?

[00:58:35] What the hell

[00:58:36] is this?

[00:58:36] And I,

[00:58:38] to this day,

[00:58:40] credit

[00:58:40] Mega Man X's

[00:58:42] soundtrack

[00:58:42] to me

[00:58:43] becoming a

[00:58:44] Metalhead.

[00:58:45] Capcom,

[00:58:46] Capcom is just

[00:58:47] fucking so sick

[00:58:48] and like,

[00:58:49] I feel like Capcom

[00:58:50] sound team

[00:58:51] from the early

[00:58:52] days knew what

[00:58:53] the fuck they

[00:58:53] were doing.

[00:58:54] Not only with

[00:58:54] Mega Man,

[00:58:55] but have you,

[00:58:56] have you always

[00:58:56] played Ace Attorney?

[00:58:57] Have you played

[00:58:58] any of the Ace

[00:58:59] Attorney?

[00:59:00] Yeah,

[00:59:00] Beth has showed me

[00:59:01] some of the

[00:59:01] songs and stuff

[00:59:02] and I'm like,

[00:59:03] Jesus,

[00:59:04] this goes hard.

[00:59:04] songs have no

[00:59:05] fucking right to

[00:59:06] go as hard as

[00:59:07] they do.

[00:59:08] You're in the

[00:59:08] fucking corner

[00:59:09] and saying,

[00:59:09] objection!

[00:59:10] And like,

[00:59:11] you're listening

[00:59:11] to fucking

[00:59:12] synth metal

[00:59:12] and it's like,

[00:59:13] they're like

[00:59:14] fucking crashing

[00:59:14] out in real

[00:59:15] time.

[00:59:15] It's so good.

[00:59:17] It's so good.

[00:59:18] We're fucking

[00:59:19] in the Super,

[00:59:20] in the,

[00:59:20] the,

[00:59:21] the Jamison

[00:59:21] Jambox channel

[00:59:22] in the Superpod

[00:59:23] server,

[00:59:24] me and Andre

[00:59:25] from Fine Time

[00:59:25] and,

[00:59:26] and Bill G and

[00:59:27] C Bill,

[00:59:28] we go back and

[00:59:28] forth all the time

[00:59:34] some of the

[00:59:35] 3DS ones.

[00:59:36] Like,

[00:59:36] oh man,

[00:59:37] they're so

[00:59:37] fucking good.

[00:59:38] Shout out to

[00:59:39] Nave and

[00:59:40] Will both for

[00:59:41] putting me on

[00:59:41] to some

[00:59:42] fucking Ace

[00:59:42] Attorney

[00:59:43] because I

[00:59:43] love those

[00:59:44] games now.

[00:59:45] I go so

[00:59:45] hard for those

[00:59:46] games.

[00:59:46] Maybe I

[00:59:46] should play

[00:59:46] those.

[00:59:47] I've never

[00:59:47] played one.

[00:59:48] They started

[00:59:49] on,

[00:59:49] did they

[00:59:50] start on

[00:59:50] Game Boy Advance?

[00:59:52] Yeah,

[00:59:52] but they,

[00:59:53] yes,

[00:59:54] they started

[00:59:55] on Game Boy

[00:59:55] Advance in

[00:59:56] Japan.

[00:59:57] Like the

[00:59:58] first,

[00:59:58] the first one

[00:59:58] came out in

[00:59:59] Game Boy Advance

[01:00:00] in Japan,

[01:00:00] but they,

[01:00:01] the H,

[01:00:02] the,

[01:00:02] you can get the

[01:00:03] original trilogy

[01:00:04] like the

[01:00:04] HD version

[01:00:05] on like

[01:00:05] everything now,

[01:00:06] even like

[01:00:06] your phone.

[01:00:07] Yeah,

[01:00:07] they're on,

[01:00:08] they're on Game

[01:00:08] Pass.

[01:00:09] Like,

[01:00:09] yeah.

[01:00:09] Oh,

[01:00:09] yeah.

[01:00:10] You can get

[01:00:10] all of it.

[01:00:10] Oh,

[01:00:11] yeah,

[01:00:11] they're on Game

[01:00:11] Pass.

[01:00:13] Yeah,

[01:00:13] it's perfect.

[01:00:14] If you have

[01:00:14] like a handheld,

[01:00:15] if you have

[01:00:15] like an ally

[01:00:16] or a Steam

[01:00:16] deck.

[01:00:17] I was

[01:00:17] thinking like

[01:00:17] my,

[01:00:19] if I could

[01:00:19] play like

[01:00:20] the GBA

[01:00:21] one,

[01:00:21] but I

[01:00:22] think those

[01:00:22] are Phoenix

[01:00:22] Wright are the

[01:00:23] GBA ones,

[01:00:24] right?

[01:00:24] Not Ace

[01:00:25] Attorney.

[01:00:26] Phoenix Wright

[01:00:27] is the,

[01:00:28] yeah.

[01:00:29] Phoenix Wright

[01:00:29] Ace Attorney.

[01:00:34] honestly.

[01:00:35] Whoa,

[01:00:35] whoa.

[01:00:37] Got an

[01:00:37] Apollo hater

[01:00:38] in the building.

[01:00:39] sorry,

[01:00:39] sorry,

[01:00:39] yeah,

[01:00:39] we got an

[01:00:40] Apollo hater.

[01:00:41] Aaron,

[01:00:42] yes,

[01:00:43] speaking of

[01:00:43] fucking,

[01:00:44] let's,

[01:00:45] uh,

[01:00:45] fuck,

[01:00:46] let's just

[01:00:46] get this

[01:00:47] sweet Xenoblade

[01:00:48] jam out of the

[01:00:48] fucking way,

[01:00:49] dude.

[01:00:49] Come on,

[01:00:50] let's go.

[01:00:50] Any of you

[01:00:51] boys ever

[01:00:51] played the

[01:00:52] Xenoblade

[01:00:52] game,

[01:00:53] especially the

[01:00:53] first one?

[01:00:54] I have not.

[01:00:54] I've played

[01:00:55] Xenoblade

[01:00:56] one and two.

[01:00:58] And did,

[01:00:58] this game,

[01:01:00] this soundtrack,

[01:01:01] especially the

[01:01:02] definitive

[01:01:02] version.

[01:01:04] The composer

[01:01:04] from,

[01:01:06] from the

[01:01:08] Xenosaga

[01:01:08] games,

[01:01:09] come on to

[01:01:10] do Xenoblade

[01:01:10] as well.

[01:01:11] Wasn't it

[01:01:13] Masahiro or

[01:01:14] whatever it is?

[01:01:15] Yeah.

[01:01:15] The one that

[01:01:16] did like Mario

[01:01:16] RPG.

[01:01:17] Yasu no,

[01:01:18] Yassu no,

[01:01:18] Yassu no,

[01:01:18] Yassu no,

[01:01:20] Yassu no.

[01:01:21] Yep.

[01:01:22] She also did

[01:01:23] some of the,

[01:01:23] some of the

[01:01:24] songs in

[01:01:24] Sea of Stars.

[01:01:26] Holy shit,

[01:01:27] really?

[01:01:28] Yes.

[01:01:28] I gotta get

[01:01:28] around to

[01:01:29] Sea of Stars.

[01:01:29] That's amazing.

[01:01:29] Sea of Stars is

[01:01:30] fantastic.

[01:01:30] I had Sea of

[01:01:31] Stars sitting on

[01:01:31] my like,

[01:01:32] game pass,

[01:01:33] like,

[01:01:34] downloaded

[01:01:34] games for so

[01:01:35] long.

[01:01:37] Yeah,

[01:01:37] she says,

[01:01:44] I love her

[01:01:45] twice as well.

[01:01:45] Did we just

[01:01:45] go into Scott?

[01:01:46] We did.

[01:01:47] Oh,

[01:01:48] please.

[01:01:49] Pick it up,

[01:01:49] pick it up,

[01:01:49] pick it up,

[01:01:50] pick it up.

[01:01:50] Oh my god,

[01:01:56] dude,

[01:01:56] I'm,

[01:01:57] then the words

[01:01:57] of Shulk,

[01:01:58] I'm really

[01:01:58] feeling it.

[01:02:00] every 13 minutes

[01:02:00] I'm really

[01:02:01] feeling it.

[01:02:02] They had,

[01:02:03] they had Yoko

[01:02:04] Shimomura and

[01:02:04] Yasunori Mitsuda

[01:02:05] compose on this

[01:02:06] game.

[01:02:07] Holy shit,

[01:02:07] really?

[01:02:08] Mmm,

[01:02:09] yeah.

[01:02:10] There was a

[01:02:11] couple others,

[01:02:11] like Manami

[01:02:12] Kiyota and

[01:02:13] Kenji Kirimatsu,

[01:02:14] but I don't

[01:02:15] know who they

[01:02:15] are.

[01:02:15] Shinomura,

[01:02:16] I think,

[01:02:16] is like the

[01:02:17] goaded one

[01:02:17] here,

[01:02:18] though.

[01:02:18] She's fantastic.

[01:02:19] Shimomura is,

[01:02:20] she's arguably

[01:02:21] like the most

[01:02:22] talented.

[01:02:23] I feel like

[01:02:23] people would

[01:02:24] like the

[01:02:24] heart-pressed

[01:02:25] pick between.

[01:02:25] Like,

[01:02:26] if you don't like

[01:02:27] the Kingdom Hearts

[01:02:27] games,

[01:02:28] the music is great.

[01:02:30] The music is

[01:02:31] incredible.

[01:02:32] Yeah.

[01:02:35] Double kicks and

[01:02:36] shit?

[01:02:37] Fuck!

[01:02:42] So,

[01:02:42] when Xenoblade

[01:02:43] Chronicles were

[01:02:44] coming out,

[01:02:44] I feel like

[01:02:45] Japan just found

[01:02:45] out about

[01:02:46] prog rock,

[01:02:47] and they were

[01:02:47] like,

[01:02:48] we have to,

[01:02:48] we have to put

[01:02:49] double pedals on

[01:02:50] everything now.

[01:02:54] Yeah,

[01:02:55] I think it was

[01:02:55] Uematsu who

[01:02:56] like,

[01:02:57] was like,

[01:02:58] first into

[01:02:58] like,

[01:02:59] he was the

[01:02:59] one to like,

[01:03:00] spearhead,

[01:03:01] blending like,

[01:03:02] a lot of

[01:03:02] the classical

[01:03:03] compositions with

[01:03:04] like,

[01:03:05] new progressive

[01:03:05] metal.

[01:03:06] He's a fucking

[01:03:07] metal head.

[01:03:08] I love it so

[01:03:08] much.

[01:03:10] This is good.

[01:03:11] This is a good

[01:03:12] asshole.

[01:03:12] This is so good.

[01:03:13] Now,

[01:03:14] I will say,

[01:03:14] though,

[01:03:15] my new,

[01:03:16] like,

[01:03:17] favorite composer

[01:03:19] in the space

[01:03:19] of JRPGs

[01:03:21] is definitely

[01:03:22] Soken.

[01:03:23] Oh,

[01:03:24] he's so good.

[01:03:24] All of

[01:03:25] Final Fantasy 14.

[01:03:27] That guy is

[01:03:28] like,

[01:03:29] I feel like

[01:03:31] more people

[01:03:31] should know

[01:03:32] this dude's name

[01:03:32] because he did

[01:03:33] all of 14

[01:03:34] and he did 16

[01:03:35] and the best thing

[01:03:36] about 16

[01:03:36] was its soundtrack.

[01:03:38] Yeah,

[01:03:38] and he,

[01:03:39] oh man,

[01:03:40] he just

[01:03:40] absolutely kills

[01:03:43] so many different

[01:03:44] things,

[01:03:44] like,

[01:03:45] different feelings

[01:03:46] and like,

[01:03:48] there's like

[01:03:48] heartbreaking songs

[01:03:49] that will literally,

[01:03:50] like,

[01:03:50] without context

[01:03:51] will fucking

[01:03:52] bring tears

[01:03:53] to your eyes

[01:03:54] and then there's

[01:03:54] other songs

[01:03:55] that are like

[01:03:56] just fucking

[01:03:59] ripping

[01:03:59] the whole time.

[01:04:01] Aaron,

[01:04:02] go ahead and load up

[01:04:03] Find the Flame

[01:04:04] right now.

[01:04:04] We have to,

[01:04:05] we have to put it on

[01:04:05] before we do that.

[01:04:08] I think we should

[01:04:09] take an ad break.

[01:04:10] We'll be right back.

[01:04:18] If you're a fan of coffee

[01:04:20] and you're looking

[01:04:20] for something different,

[01:04:21] I think we've got

[01:04:23] just the thing

[01:04:23] for you,

[01:04:24] that's Bones Coffee.

[01:04:25] Bones Coffee

[01:04:26] is not your usual

[01:04:28] coffee company.

[01:04:29] Of course,

[01:04:30] it's all sugar-free,

[01:04:31] gluten-free,

[01:04:32] all that stuff

[01:04:32] because it's just

[01:04:33] coffee,

[01:04:33] nothing added to it,

[01:04:35] but they roast

[01:04:35] each batch

[01:04:36] of coffee beans

[01:04:37] to your order

[01:04:39] and they've got

[01:04:40] just a bazillion

[01:04:41] different flavors

[01:04:42] to choose from.

[01:04:43] They've got

[01:04:43] your usual

[01:04:44] French vanilla,

[01:04:46] salted caramel,

[01:04:47] they've got

[01:04:47] Irish cream,

[01:04:48] of course,

[01:04:49] they've got

[01:04:49] decaf,

[01:04:50] single origin coffees

[01:04:52] like Kenya,

[01:04:53] Guatemala,

[01:04:54] stuff like that,

[01:04:55] even what they call

[01:04:56] high voltage,

[01:04:57] which is extra strength,

[01:04:58] extra caffeine,

[01:04:59] but they have

[01:05:00] all sorts of

[01:05:01] other awesome

[01:05:02] kind of out-of-the-box

[01:05:03] flavors.

[01:05:03] They've got ones

[01:05:04] like cotton candy,

[01:05:06] maple bacon,

[01:05:07] and even mint

[01:05:08] chocolate chip ice cream.

[01:05:10] And they're always

[01:05:10] coming up with

[01:05:11] new crossover flavors

[01:05:13] like they've done

[01:05:14] a bunch for

[01:05:14] Nightmare Before Christmas,

[01:05:16] Indiana Jones,

[01:05:17] even Spider-Man,

[01:05:18] of all things.

[01:05:19] And they're also

[01:05:20] coming up with

[01:05:21] new seasonal flavors

[01:05:23] all the time.

[01:05:24] If this sounds

[01:06:41] of the gameplay

[01:06:42] and we have a huge

[01:06:44] focus on the music

[01:06:45] in the game as well.

[01:06:46] We also have

[01:06:47] special guests

[01:06:48] every once in a while

[01:06:49] and we'll come on

[01:07:01] Video games are

[01:07:02] a unique medium.

[01:07:03] They can tell

[01:07:03] stories.

[01:07:05] Immerse us in

[01:07:05] strange, fantastic

[01:07:07] worlds.

[01:07:07] Blur the very

[01:07:08] boundaries of our

[01:07:10] reality.

[01:07:11] But at the end

[01:07:11] of the day,

[01:07:12] video games are

[01:07:12] fun, whatever

[01:07:14] fun is to you.

[01:07:15] I'm Jeff Moonen

[01:07:16] and I am Matt

[01:07:16] aka Stormageddon

[01:07:17] and on Fun

[01:07:18] and Games, we

[01:07:19] talk about the

[01:07:20] history, trends

[01:07:21] and community

[01:07:22] of video games.

[01:07:23] It's a celebration

[01:07:24] of all the games

[01:07:25] we play and all

[01:07:26] the fun we find

[01:07:27] within them.

[01:07:28] And there's so

[01:07:28] many more games

[01:07:29] out there.

[01:07:29] So we hope you'll

[01:07:31] share in that

[01:07:31] conversation with us.

[01:07:52] I'm recording

[01:07:53] this with a

[01:07:54] stuffed nose.

[01:07:55] I apologize if I

[01:07:56] sound disgusting.

[01:07:57] But yeah, thank you

[01:07:58] all for your

[01:07:59] continued support.

[01:07:59] Love you all.

[01:08:40] wondered...

[01:08:45] I'm trying to

[01:08:45] think of a better

[01:08:46] idea, man.

[01:08:47] Hey, Jerry.

[01:08:49] Have you ever

[01:08:49] wondered what

[01:08:50] your neighbor's

[01:08:51] hog looks like?

[01:08:53] Hey, Jerry,

[01:08:53] you ever look at

[01:08:54] your dick?

[01:08:55] Do you ever

[01:09:22] as well as a

[01:09:23] copy of your

[01:09:23] social security

[01:09:24] card to get the

[01:09:26] services of

[01:09:27] DickPix.com.

[01:09:30] nice.

[01:09:30] And for a

[01:09:31] bonus, you can

[01:09:32] get three months

[01:09:32] free if you

[01:09:33] upload your

[01:09:33] girth.

[01:09:39] They don't care

[01:09:40] about length,

[01:09:40] just your

[01:09:41] girth.

[01:09:42] Just girth.

[01:09:43] Are you a

[01:09:44] girthy boy?

[01:09:45] You want three

[01:09:46] months free of

[01:09:46] DickPix.com?

[01:09:48] Well, come on

[01:09:48] down.

[01:09:52] We know that

[01:09:53] the federal

[01:09:54] government just

[01:09:55] instituted a

[01:09:56] one-click

[01:09:57] program, but our

[01:09:58] services are so

[01:10:00] special that you

[01:10:03] you get in on a

[01:10:04] monthly payment for

[01:10:05] the low, low

[01:10:05] price of how much

[01:10:08] Aaron, how much

[01:10:09] are we charging our

[01:10:09] patrons?

[01:10:10] $69.99.

[01:10:11] No, no, no.

[01:10:12] $69.420.

[01:10:14] If you go to

[01:10:16] superpod.saga

[01:10:17] 4 slash

[01:10:17] Christalive.

[01:10:18] If you go to

[01:10:24] superpod.saga.com

[01:10:25] 4 slash

[01:10:25] Christalive, you

[01:10:26] can get the

[01:10:27] DLC code, which

[01:10:28] will activate the

[01:10:29] fact that you

[01:10:31] can only pay

[01:10:33] based on your

[01:10:34] girth.

[01:10:34] So if you got

[01:10:36] that little

[01:10:36] girth, you got a

[01:10:38] good subscription

[01:10:38] fee.

[01:10:39] That's a good

[01:10:39] subscription fee.

[01:10:40] If you're like me

[01:10:42] and you're just an

[01:10:43] average ass

[01:10:43] girthy boy, then

[01:10:45] you got an

[01:10:45] average ass

[01:10:46] subscription.

[01:10:47] You know what I'm

[01:10:47] saying?

[01:10:48] But if you have a

[01:10:48] wide girth, then

[01:10:49] you have to pay

[01:10:50] more because we

[01:10:53] can't pay for

[01:10:54] Photoshop without

[01:10:55] the girth bros.

[01:10:56] We need the

[01:10:56] girth whales in the

[01:10:58] chat.

[01:10:58] The lower your

[01:10:59] insecurity, the

[01:11:01] less you pay.

[01:11:02] And it's

[01:11:03] fucking 44

[01:11:04] megabytes.

[01:11:05] Come on, man.

[01:11:07] It's not a

[01:11:07] fucking pissing

[01:11:08] competition.

[01:11:08] Don't come cheap.

[01:11:09] Servers aren't that

[01:11:10] cheap, he says.

[01:11:11] You gotta compress

[01:11:12] that dick pic.

[01:11:16] We have a

[01:11:16] render farm at

[01:11:17] Package processing

[01:11:18] nothing but

[01:11:19] cocks.

[01:11:22] 4090s.

[01:11:23] Healthy ass.

[01:11:25] Just imagine

[01:11:26] fucking private

[01:11:28] investigator dick

[01:11:29] out there in the

[01:11:29] field.

[01:11:30] He's viciously

[01:11:30] stalking your

[01:11:31] neighbor.

[01:11:32] He's just

[01:11:33] terrorizing them.

[01:11:34] He's just

[01:11:35] like outside

[01:11:36] trying to get

[01:11:38] their attention.

[01:11:38] Ducks.

[01:11:40] Just gets the

[01:11:41] photo real fast.

[01:11:42] Sir, I can see

[01:11:43] you.

[01:11:43] Do you have

[01:11:43] your badge?

[01:11:44] Show me your

[01:11:45] dick.

[01:11:47] My name is

[01:11:48] Dick Piss.

[01:11:49] I'm here to

[01:11:49] investigate.

[01:11:50] Look, we

[01:11:51] gotta add in

[01:11:51] those timers

[01:11:52] too from the

[01:11:52] infomercials

[01:11:53] where it's

[01:11:54] like if you

[01:11:55] purchase a

[01:11:56] subscription within

[01:11:56] the next five

[01:11:57] minutes, we

[01:11:58] will include a

[01:11:58] webinar for

[01:11:59] foreskin

[01:12:00] restoration

[01:12:00] surgery.

[01:12:01] Were you

[01:12:04] wrongfully

[01:12:05] altered as a

[01:12:06] child against

[01:12:07] your will?

[01:12:08] Get your

[01:12:08] foreskin back

[01:12:09] right now.

[01:12:11] Reclaim your

[01:12:11] life.

[01:12:12] Or if you

[01:12:13] already have

[01:12:13] foreskin,

[01:12:14] double up.

[01:12:15] Double foreskin.

[01:12:16] With a warm

[01:12:16] blanket.

[01:12:17] Dude.

[01:12:19] Fleece line

[01:12:20] foreskin.

[01:12:21] We call that

[01:12:22] famosis

[01:12:22] back.

[01:12:23] Remember sleep

[01:12:24] overs with

[01:12:24] the boys

[01:12:25] ordering pizza

[01:12:26] and sleeping

[01:12:27] in the basement

[01:12:27] in sleeping

[01:12:28] bags?

[01:12:28] It's just

[01:12:28] like that

[01:12:29] but with

[01:12:30] foreskin.

[01:12:33] The sleeping

[01:12:34] bag is your

[01:12:35] foreskin.

[01:12:37] Don't you

[01:12:38] want your

[01:12:39] five skin?

[01:12:40] Oh, give me

[01:12:42] six skin.

[01:12:43] Oh, dude.

[01:12:49] You've heard of

[01:12:49] girls gone wild.

[01:12:51] Now it's

[01:12:52] girth gone wild.

[01:12:53] I don't know.

[01:12:56] Girth gone wrong.

[01:12:58] It sounds like

[01:13:00] girth gone thick

[01:13:01] with two C's.

[01:13:03] Four skins

[01:13:03] just gone.

[01:13:08] How about

[01:13:09] eight skin?

[01:13:10] Jerry, we

[01:13:11] talked about the

[01:13:11] DLC.

[01:13:13] I told you about

[01:13:14] the DLC.

[01:13:15] The girth DLC.

[01:13:16] Okay, okay.

[01:13:16] The girthy boys.

[01:13:17] Okay, cool.

[01:13:18] If you're a

[01:13:18] girthy, girthy boy

[01:13:19] then you're paying

[01:13:19] a premium but if

[01:13:20] you're, you know,

[01:13:21] if you're suffering

[01:13:22] like the rest of us.

[01:13:26] Thanks for

[01:13:27] sponsoring this

[01:13:28] episode.

[01:13:29] Paces.

[01:13:44] Did you know

[01:13:45] that there was

[01:13:45] like actually

[01:13:46] there was

[01:13:46] apparently I was

[01:13:47] reading online

[01:13:48] there's actually

[01:13:48] a group of

[01:13:49] people out

[01:13:49] there that

[01:13:50] are trying to

[01:13:50] claim that

[01:13:51] I mean that

[01:13:52] that that

[01:13:54] doing a

[01:13:54] circumcision is

[01:13:55] unethical on

[01:13:56] babies apparently.

[01:13:57] I don't know

[01:13:58] what you're afraid

[01:13:59] to give your

[01:14:00] baby that healthy

[01:14:01] looking dick.

[01:14:02] It's general

[01:14:02] mutilation.

[01:14:03] Nicholas.

[01:14:04] Don't touch

[01:14:05] my dick.

[01:14:06] They said, oh,

[01:14:07] a perfect healthy

[01:14:07] looking boy.

[01:14:08] Cool.

[01:14:09] Let me cut his

[01:14:09] cock skin off.

[01:14:11] Yeah.

[01:14:14] I don't I don't

[01:14:15] understand.

[01:14:15] I thought it's

[01:14:16] just for hygiene,

[01:14:17] right?

[01:14:17] Can we clarify

[01:14:18] this for the

[01:14:18] viewers?

[01:14:19] The viewers need

[01:14:20] to know.

[01:14:20] He needs it.

[01:14:23] He needs it.

[01:14:26] Is that what he's

[01:14:27] doing with the

[01:14:27] baby oil?

[01:14:28] He has an

[01:14:29] entire basement

[01:14:30] full of foreskins.

[01:14:31] He just throws

[01:14:32] them down there.

[01:14:33] He's knitting a

[01:14:34] quilt.

[01:14:37] He's making

[01:14:38] chain link armor

[01:14:39] out of foreskins.

[01:14:40] This is the

[01:14:41] shit that's in

[01:14:42] Silent Hill.

[01:14:43] You can find

[01:14:44] like a fucking

[01:14:45] rusted fucking

[01:14:46] bedroom and you

[01:14:47] be like, oh,

[01:14:47] this is a nice

[01:14:48] blanket.

[01:14:48] Oh, never mind.

[01:14:49] It's foreskins.

[01:14:52] Different ones

[01:14:53] too.

[01:14:53] Why is it

[01:14:53] checkered?

[01:14:55] I see Jimmy

[01:14:57] and Billy

[01:14:57] and Timmy

[01:14:58] and Bobby

[01:14:59] and oh, no,

[01:15:01] this one's mine.

[01:15:02] Oh, no.

[01:15:05] Oh, shit.

[01:15:06] Oh, my God.

[01:15:07] What the fuck?

[01:15:09] It was a

[01:15:09] Maki.

[01:15:10] Well, not

[01:15:10] not a Maki,

[01:15:11] but Junji

[01:15:11] into type

[01:15:12] shit.

[01:15:12] This one's

[01:15:13] for me.

[01:15:14] This is my

[01:15:14] foreskin.

[01:15:16] Jesus Christ.

[01:15:17] I've actually

[01:15:18] seen those

[01:15:18] people.

[01:15:18] So at the

[01:15:19] Iowa State

[01:15:20] Fair many

[01:15:20] years ago,

[01:15:21] there were

[01:15:21] these circumcised

[01:15:22] people.

[01:15:23] No, there's

[01:15:24] several

[01:15:26] circumcised

[01:15:26] people behind

[01:15:27] any

[01:15:27] circumcision

[01:15:28] party.

[01:15:29] It was the

[01:15:29] weirdest shit.

[01:15:30] So they were

[01:15:31] standing there

[01:15:31] holding signs

[01:15:32] saying like,

[01:15:33] give us back

[01:15:34] our foreskin

[01:15:35] or something.

[01:15:35] And they were

[01:15:36] all wearing

[01:15:36] white pants

[01:15:37] and they had

[01:15:37] bloodstains

[01:15:38] on their

[01:15:38] dick areas.

[01:15:39] I'm not making

[01:15:39] that up.

[01:15:40] They do that shit.

[01:15:41] That sounds right.

[01:15:43] I would go up

[01:15:44] to those idiots

[01:15:45] and just be like,

[01:15:45] bro, you want

[01:15:45] some?

[01:15:46] I got some

[01:15:47] excess skin on

[01:15:48] the back of my

[01:15:49] calf right now.

[01:15:51] I got some

[01:15:54] of that elbow

[01:15:54] skin and shit.

[01:15:55] Like if you

[01:15:55] want some of

[01:15:56] that, I don't

[01:15:56] need none of

[01:15:57] this.

[01:15:59] Dickpicks.com

[01:16:01] aside, you

[01:16:02] know, more

[01:16:03] mobile homes

[01:16:04] for your book

[01:16:06] aside.

[01:16:07] Why do people

[01:16:09] just like not

[01:16:09] believe in science

[01:16:10] anymore?

[01:16:11] Why is this

[01:16:11] becoming a thing

[01:16:12] in the year of

[01:16:13] our Lord

[01:16:13] 2024?

[01:16:15] Because the

[01:16:15] earth is flat.

[01:16:17] The fucking

[01:16:17] NASA lion

[01:16:19] test.

[01:16:20] Yeah, they

[01:16:21] want us to

[01:16:22] believe in

[01:16:22] this flat.

[01:16:23] Well, you

[01:16:25] know what?

[01:16:25] Speaking of

[01:16:25] girthy, girthy

[01:16:26] boys, let's

[01:16:27] talk about

[01:16:27] Clive from

[01:16:28] Final Fantasy

[01:16:28] 16, shall

[01:16:29] we?

[01:16:29] Yeah, let's

[01:16:30] do it.

[01:16:34] All right.

[01:16:35] So, Masayoshi

[01:16:36] soaking.

[01:16:37] Yeah, I'm just

[01:16:38] going to let

[01:16:39] y'all listen.

[01:16:39] Let's just

[01:16:39] listen.

[01:16:40] I have to

[01:16:40] fucking pull

[01:16:41] my pants

[01:16:41] down a little

[01:16:42] bit.

[01:16:42] Holy shit.

[01:16:58] Whoa, holy

[01:16:59] Christ, dude.

[01:17:09] Is this just

[01:17:10] the main battle

[01:17:11] theme?

[01:17:12] Yeah.

[01:17:13] Yeah.

[01:17:13] Jesus Christ.

[01:17:17] You have to

[01:17:17] find the

[01:17:18] flame.

[01:17:26] I want to

[01:17:27] get on a

[01:17:27] fucking

[01:17:27] chocobo and

[01:17:28] go kill

[01:17:29] somebody.

[01:17:30] Yeah,

[01:17:31] let's

[01:17:31] fucking go.

[01:17:33] I want to go

[01:17:33] stalk somebody

[01:17:34] and take a picture

[01:17:35] of their dick.

[01:17:37] I forgot how

[01:17:38] fucking hard this

[01:17:39] soundtrack slaps,

[01:17:40] dude.

[01:17:43] This is unreasonably

[01:17:44] hard for a

[01:17:44] little battle.

[01:17:45] Dude, I'm telling

[01:17:46] you right now.

[01:17:46] He's so good.

[01:17:47] this is like

[01:17:51] something you

[01:17:51] would fight

[01:17:51] God to,

[01:17:52] dude.

[01:17:53] This is the

[01:17:54] regular battle

[01:17:55] theme.

[01:17:55] You're just

[01:17:55] fighting fucking

[01:17:56] Final Fantasy 16

[01:17:56] is just

[01:17:57] Persona,

[01:17:58] but with

[01:17:58] Final Fantasy.

[01:18:04] What?

[01:18:05] I'm an

[01:18:05] icon.

[01:18:07] Persona.

[01:18:07] We're not

[01:18:08] even going to

[01:18:08] get into the

[01:18:09] fucking Titan

[01:18:10] fight.

[01:18:10] Oh my god,

[01:18:12] the Titan

[01:18:12] fights are

[01:18:12] just like

[01:18:15] there is a

[01:18:15] there's a

[01:18:16] moment when

[01:18:18] fucking Ifrit

[01:18:19] and what's

[01:18:22] his face?

[01:18:22] The dragon,

[01:18:24] the dragon

[01:18:24] Titan.

[01:18:25] Do you know

[01:18:25] what I'm

[01:18:25] talking about?

[01:18:26] Bahamut.

[01:18:27] The moment

[01:18:28] where Ifrit

[01:18:29] and Bahamut

[01:18:30] no,

[01:18:31] no,

[01:18:31] it was the

[01:18:32] fight with

[01:18:32] Bahamut

[01:18:33] and Ifrit

[01:18:34] and Phoenix

[01:18:35] fucking fused

[01:18:36] like a

[01:18:37] Megazord

[01:18:37] to fucking

[01:18:39] are you

[01:18:40] kidding?

[01:18:41] And they

[01:18:41] fucking did

[01:18:42] a giant

[01:18:42] like a

[01:18:43] giga blast.

[01:18:44] They did

[01:18:45] a super

[01:18:46] saiyan

[01:18:47] like beam

[01:18:48] struggle

[01:18:48] in this

[01:18:49] game.

[01:18:50] It was

[01:18:51] so fucking

[01:18:52] good.

[01:18:52] Aaron,

[01:18:52] once again,

[01:18:53] if you

[01:18:53] could play

[01:18:53] this game,

[01:18:54] I swear

[01:18:54] you would

[01:18:55] love it.

[01:18:56] I probably

[01:18:56] would,

[01:18:57] man.

[01:18:57] I'm,

[01:18:58] yeah,

[01:18:58] I'll be

[01:18:59] just going

[01:18:59] to have

[01:18:59] a PS5.

[01:19:01] I actually

[01:19:01] think all

[01:19:02] my homies

[01:19:03] deserve PS5

[01:19:04] for Christmas.

[01:19:05] Aaron's

[01:19:06] wife,

[01:19:06] Mrs.

[01:19:07] Mrs.

[01:19:07] Superpod,

[01:19:08] I need

[01:19:09] you to

[01:19:09] fucking get

[01:19:09] Aaron

[01:19:10] a fucking

[01:19:11] PS5

[01:19:12] for Christmas

[01:19:13] and buy

[01:19:14] him,

[01:19:14] I need

[01:19:15] you to

[01:19:15] buy him

[01:19:15] two games.

[01:19:16] I need

[01:19:16] you to

[01:19:16] buy him

[01:19:16] Final Fantasy

[01:19:17] 7 Rebirth

[01:19:18] and then

[01:19:19] Final Fantasy

[01:19:20] 16.

[01:19:21] He deserves

[01:19:22] it.

[01:19:23] Oh,

[01:19:23] you paid

[01:19:23] some Ghost of Tsushima.

[01:19:25] Oh,

[01:19:25] yeah,

[01:19:25] I'd play the

[01:19:26] fuck out of

[01:19:26] Ghost of Tsushima.

[01:19:27] Hell yeah.

[01:19:29] That's a cute

[01:19:29] fucking dog

[01:19:30] right there,

[01:19:30] Jared.

[01:19:33] What's your

[01:19:33] dog's name?

[01:19:34] Joey.

[01:19:35] Joey?

[01:19:36] What a

[01:19:37] good boy.

[01:19:38] Look at that

[01:19:39] good boy

[01:19:39] right there.

[01:19:41] Look at

[01:19:42] dude,

[01:19:42] he's loving

[01:19:43] that shit.

[01:19:44] Put the

[01:19:44] headphones on

[01:19:45] him.

[01:19:48] Send that

[01:19:49] dog to

[01:19:49] heaven.

[01:20:01] That was

[01:20:02] a perfect

[01:20:03] way to

[01:20:03] end this

[01:20:03] because that

[01:20:04] song is

[01:20:05] just so

[01:20:06] fucking good.

[01:20:07] All right,

[01:20:08] well,

[01:20:08] yeah,

[01:20:08] everybody,

[01:20:09] this is as we

[01:20:10] wind down

[01:20:10] to the

[01:20:11] latter half

[01:20:12] or not the

[01:20:12] latter half,

[01:20:13] the last

[01:20:13] little bit,

[01:20:15] a little

[01:20:15] morsel of

[01:20:16] the episode.

[01:20:17] It's time for

[01:20:18] the most generous

[01:20:19] part of the

[01:20:19] episode.

[01:20:20] A little bit

[01:20:20] sad,

[01:20:21] a little bit

[01:20:21] generous.

[01:20:23] I'm

[01:20:28] going to

[01:20:29] say it

[01:20:29] again.

[01:20:31] Vanger needs

[01:20:32] to be played

[01:20:33] by everybody

[01:20:33] and guess

[01:20:34] what?

[01:20:34] Guess where

[01:20:35] you can

[01:20:35] find that?

[01:20:35] That's on

[01:20:36] UFO 50.

[01:20:37] Everybody

[01:20:37] needs to

[01:20:38] play UFO 50

[01:20:39] every week.

[01:20:41] I'm just

[01:20:41] going to

[01:20:41] keep

[01:20:41] recommending

[01:20:42] games from

[01:20:43] UFO 50

[01:20:44] until every

[01:20:44] single

[01:20:45] goddamn

[01:20:45] one of our

[01:20:46] listeners

[01:20:46] has purchased

[01:20:47] UFO 50

[01:20:48] will after

[01:20:49] the show,

[01:20:50] please,

[01:20:50] you need

[01:20:51] to go

[01:20:51] purchase

[01:20:52] UFO 50.

[01:20:52] Nick,

[01:20:53] after the

[01:20:53] show,

[01:20:54] please go

[01:20:54] purchase

[01:20:54] UFO 50.

[01:20:55] I need

[01:20:56] to know

[01:20:56] in my

[01:20:57] steam

[01:20:57] checkout.

[01:20:59] It's in

[01:20:59] my cart.

[01:21:01] He's going

[01:21:01] to hire

[01:21:02] to make

[01:21:03] sure that

[01:21:04] you buy

[01:21:04] the fucking

[01:21:05] game.

[01:21:06] So the

[01:21:07] last episode

[01:21:07] I talked

[01:21:08] about

[01:21:08] Party House

[01:21:09] this time

[01:21:10] I'm going

[01:21:10] to talk

[01:21:10] about

[01:21:10] Vanger,

[01:21:11] which I

[01:21:12] just

[01:21:12] finished

[01:21:12] last night.

[01:21:13] It's a

[01:21:13] full-blown

[01:21:14] Metroid

[01:21:15] game.

[01:21:16] It's

[01:21:17] pretty

[01:21:17] difficult.

[01:21:18] The cool

[01:21:18] thing is

[01:21:19] immediately

[01:21:19] after picking

[01:21:20] this game

[01:21:20] up,

[01:21:21] you're

[01:21:21] like,

[01:21:21] okay,

[01:21:22] it's

[01:21:24] decidedly a

[01:21:25] Metroid-looking

[01:21:26] game as soon

[01:21:26] as you turn

[01:21:27] this thing

[01:21:27] on.

[01:21:28] However,

[01:21:29] the cool

[01:21:30] thing is

[01:21:30] you can flip

[01:21:32] up and

[01:21:33] change the

[01:21:33] gravity.

[01:21:34] So you

[01:21:35] are running

[01:21:36] on the

[01:21:37] bottom,

[01:21:37] and then if

[01:21:37] you double

[01:21:38] tap,

[01:21:38] like a

[01:21:39] double

[01:21:39] jump,

[01:21:40] you flip

[01:21:40] up and

[01:21:41] then you're

[01:21:41] on the

[01:21:41] ceiling.

[01:21:43] and this

[01:21:43] adds a

[01:21:45] plethora

[01:21:45] of cool

[01:21:46] game

[01:21:46] mechanics

[01:21:47] to this

[01:21:47] game.

[01:21:48] And the

[01:21:49] way that

[01:21:49] the,

[01:21:50] you know,

[01:21:51] like a

[01:21:52] Metroid game,

[01:21:53] you get

[01:21:53] power-ups,

[01:21:54] you get

[01:21:54] different

[01:21:54] abilities and

[01:21:55] stuff,

[01:21:55] but the

[01:21:56] way that

[01:21:56] they work,

[01:21:57] you equip

[01:21:58] them to

[01:21:59] parts of

[01:21:59] your body.

[01:22:00] So when

[01:22:01] you get

[01:22:01] the first

[01:22:02] one,

[01:22:02] which I

[01:22:03] don't know

[01:22:03] if it can

[01:22:04] be done in

[01:22:04] different

[01:22:04] orders or

[01:22:05] not,

[01:22:05] but the

[01:22:06] first one

[01:22:06] is the

[01:22:06] flame

[01:22:07] one.

[01:22:07] When you

[01:22:08] get that

[01:22:08] flame

[01:22:09] upgrade,

[01:22:09] you get

[01:22:10] to choose

[01:22:10] because you

[01:22:11] can't have

[01:22:12] it all in

[01:22:12] every slot.

[01:22:14] You can have

[01:22:15] it as your

[01:22:16] body,

[01:22:16] which adds

[01:22:17] flame resistance

[01:22:18] and extra

[01:22:19] defense.

[01:22:19] But if you

[01:22:20] put it on

[01:22:20] the gun

[01:22:21] slot,

[01:22:21] you get

[01:22:22] fucking

[01:22:22] fire bullets

[01:22:23] and they're

[01:22:24] super strong

[01:22:25] or you put

[01:22:26] it on the

[01:22:26] top and

[01:22:27] your flip,

[01:22:29] like your

[01:22:29] gravity flip,

[01:22:30] when you do

[01:22:31] the flip,

[01:22:32] it shoots

[01:22:32] flames out

[01:22:33] from both

[01:22:33] sides.

[01:22:34] And then you

[01:22:35] get more

[01:22:35] components and

[01:22:37] as you go,

[01:22:37] you start to

[01:22:38] realize that

[01:22:39] you can't

[01:22:40] equip more

[01:22:41] than one

[01:22:42] component per

[01:22:43] slot until you

[01:22:44] get an upgrade

[01:22:44] that will allow

[01:22:45] you to do so,

[01:22:46] which then allows

[01:22:46] you to mix and

[01:22:47] match different

[01:22:48] upgrades and

[01:22:49] combine them

[01:22:49] like a three-way

[01:22:50] shot with the

[01:22:51] flames.

[01:22:53] That's how I

[01:22:54] beat the game.

[01:22:56] But yeah,

[01:22:57] just yet another

[01:22:59] example of how

[01:23:00] UFO 50 has

[01:23:02] individual games

[01:23:03] that are worth

[01:23:04] talking about

[01:23:05] within the

[01:23:06] game itself.

[01:23:07] It's fantastic.

[01:23:08] It's, I

[01:23:09] think it's, it's

[01:23:10] a modern

[01:23:10] masterpiece in

[01:23:12] gaming.

[01:23:14] Fuck.

[01:23:15] Hell yeah.

[01:23:15] Yeah.

[01:23:16] Damn.

[01:23:18] Mm-hmm.

[01:23:19] I digress.

[01:23:21] Yeah.

[01:23:22] I'm, uh,

[01:23:24] fuck it, I'm

[01:23:24] just gonna stick

[01:23:25] with my original

[01:23:25] pick.

[01:23:26] Not just this

[01:23:27] like the Game

[01:23:27] Boy Color

[01:23:28] version, but

[01:23:28] any, any

[01:23:29] version of

[01:23:29] Mr. Driller.

[01:23:30] Honestly, uh,

[01:23:31] what's the one

[01:23:31] on Dreamcast?

[01:23:32] It's, uh,

[01:23:33] Mr. Driller.

[01:23:34] It's a really

[01:23:35] fucking awesome

[01:23:35] puzzle game

[01:23:36] where you just

[01:23:38] drill.

[01:23:39] There's, uh, you

[01:23:39] play this little

[01:23:39] guy, Mr. Driller,

[01:23:40] and there's blocks

[01:23:41] everywhere, and

[01:23:42] you're basically

[01:23:43] drilling downward,

[01:23:44] and depending on

[01:23:45] the blocks that

[01:23:46] you drill, each

[01:23:46] block is a

[01:23:47] different shape,

[01:23:48] like it'll be

[01:23:48] like a plus

[01:23:48] shape, or

[01:23:49] like just a

[01:23:50] like a horizontal

[01:23:51] or vertical line,

[01:23:52] or just like,

[01:23:53] like a square or

[01:23:54] something like

[01:23:55] that, and

[01:23:55] depending on like

[01:23:56] how you drill

[01:23:57] them, or

[01:23:58] depending on the

[01:23:58] ones you drill,

[01:23:59] they'll fall,

[01:24:00] you have to

[01:24:00] avoid those

[01:24:01] blocks, and

[01:24:02] try not to

[01:24:02] get squashed,

[01:24:03] but also you

[01:24:04] have to, uh,

[01:24:05] you have an

[01:24:06] oxygen meter,

[01:24:07] you have to

[01:24:07] keep, or air

[01:24:08] meter, or

[01:24:08] whatever the

[01:24:09] fuck, you

[01:24:09] have to keep

[01:24:09] replenishing that

[01:24:10] by picking up

[01:24:10] little, uh,

[01:24:12] oxygen tanks as

[01:24:13] you go along,

[01:24:14] and, uh, I

[01:24:17] don't think there's

[01:24:17] really any

[01:24:17] difference between

[01:24:18] each version,

[01:24:19] but the Dreamcast

[01:24:20] version and the

[01:24:21] Game Boy Color

[01:24:21] versions are

[01:24:22] really fucking

[01:24:23] good.

[01:24:24] Mr. Driller,

[01:24:26] bitch.

[01:24:26] I'm looking at

[01:24:27] Mr. Driller,

[01:24:28] drill land over on

[01:24:29] Steam right now,

[01:24:30] very positive,

[01:24:32] 241 reviews.

[01:24:33] It looks like a

[01:24:33] more complicated

[01:24:34] version, or like

[01:24:35] a complex,

[01:24:37] actually, like

[01:24:37] fast-paced version

[01:24:38] of Tetris, like

[01:24:39] Tetris combined

[01:24:40] with like some

[01:24:41] other stuff, it

[01:24:41] looks really cool.

[01:24:42] Yeah, I forgot

[01:24:42] about this game,

[01:24:43] but you're

[01:24:43] unlocking memories

[01:24:44] now that I'm

[01:24:45] looking at this

[01:24:45] cute dude in

[01:24:46] his pink outfit

[01:24:47] drilling, I was

[01:24:48] like, oh shit,

[01:24:49] I forgot about

[01:24:49] this.

[01:24:50] Yeah, these

[01:24:51] games are super,

[01:24:52] super underrated

[01:24:53] there.

[01:24:53] Yeah, they're

[01:24:54] really, really

[01:24:54] fun.

[01:24:54] It's pretty

[01:24:55] much just, yeah,

[01:24:56] the, uh,

[01:24:57] drilling and

[01:24:58] Tetris.

[01:24:59] Hell yeah.

[01:24:59] Nice.

[01:25:01] What about you

[01:25:01] guys?

[01:25:01] Do you have

[01:25:02] anything?

[01:25:03] Will, hit us

[01:25:03] with a

[01:25:04] recommended

[01:25:04] game.

[01:25:06] Let me tell

[01:25:07] y'all about

[01:25:07] a wacky,

[01:25:09] wacky game

[01:25:10] that has been

[01:25:10] lost into the

[01:25:11] annals of time

[01:25:12] until just

[01:25:13] recently, where

[01:25:14] it was re-added

[01:25:15] on to the

[01:25:16] PlayStation, I

[01:25:17] think it's the

[01:25:17] classics list, but

[01:25:18] this is the

[01:25:19] PlayStation 2

[01:25:19] game, Mr.

[01:25:21] Mosquito.

[01:25:22] Oh shit.

[01:25:24] If you've never

[01:25:25] heard of Mr.

[01:25:26] Mosquito,

[01:25:27] Stealthy,

[01:25:27] horny game.

[01:25:28] Yes, sir.

[01:25:30] You want to be

[01:25:31] a little mosquito

[01:25:31] man finding, a

[01:25:34] lot of the times

[01:25:34] women, sleeping

[01:25:36] and drinking

[01:25:37] their blood.

[01:25:38] Or just, you

[01:25:39] know, chilling

[01:25:39] in a bathtub.

[01:25:40] Yep.

[01:25:41] Just pull it up,

[01:25:42] sneaking around,

[01:25:43] making sure you're

[01:25:43] not seen by the

[01:25:44] eyes of the

[01:25:45] humans so they

[01:25:46] chase you around

[01:25:46] the room.

[01:25:47] Just like the

[01:25:56] biology that the

[01:25:58] females are the

[01:25:59] ones that drink

[01:25:59] blood.

[01:26:00] But that's neither

[01:26:00] here nor there.

[01:26:01] Yeah, man.

[01:26:02] Let me mosquito

[01:26:03] on them fangs.

[01:26:05] Oh shit.

[01:26:07] But this is one

[01:26:08] of those games

[01:26:09] where, I mean,

[01:26:09] we've talked

[01:26:10] about it a

[01:26:10] little bit,

[01:26:11] like, throughout

[01:26:11] our episodes,

[01:26:12] but, you know,

[01:26:13] I miss the

[01:26:13] olden days of

[01:26:14] especially, you

[01:26:15] know, Sony just

[01:26:16] being kind of

[01:26:16] weird and having

[01:26:17] these games that

[01:26:18] nowadays, you

[01:26:19] know, probably

[01:26:19] wouldn't see the

[01:26:20] light of day,

[01:26:20] but it just

[01:26:21] being like, oh,

[01:26:22] Mr. Mosquito is

[01:26:22] normal.

[01:26:23] Oh, Katamari

[01:26:24] Damacy is like

[01:26:24] normal.

[01:26:26] Some games

[01:26:26] like this.

[01:26:27] I would love to

[01:26:28] see that.

[01:26:29] Ape Escape.

[01:26:29] Yep, exactly.

[01:26:30] Even something

[01:26:31] like that's still

[01:26:31] going on now,

[01:26:32] but it has

[01:26:33] nowhere near as

[01:26:33] much a kind of

[01:26:34] draw as it did

[01:26:34] back in the day,

[01:26:35] like Super Monkey

[01:26:35] Ball.

[01:26:36] It's a racing game

[01:26:38] where you're just

[01:26:38] a, you know,

[01:26:39] an ape or a

[01:26:40] chimp riding

[01:26:41] around in a big

[01:26:41] old ball.

[01:26:42] Like, that's fun.

[01:26:43] Yeah.

[01:26:43] I would love for

[01:26:44] people to go out

[01:26:45] there and, you

[01:26:47] know, maybe give

[01:26:48] Sony a little bit

[01:26:48] of money, at

[01:26:49] least for one

[01:26:50] month, and then

[01:26:50] just check out

[01:26:51] Mr. Mosquito

[01:26:51] because it's a fun

[01:26:52] throwback to those

[01:26:53] crazy games that

[01:26:55] you either may have

[01:26:56] young and not

[01:26:57] had the chance

[01:26:58] to be a part

[01:26:59] of, or maybe

[01:27:00] you're old and

[01:27:00] gray like us,

[01:27:01] and you're like,

[01:27:02] oh, I remember

[01:27:03] back when games

[01:27:04] used to be just

[01:27:05] fun.

[01:27:08] I remember

[01:27:09] being a mosquito

[01:27:10] and sucking on

[01:27:12] those fangs.

[01:27:14] Yeah, yeah,

[01:27:14] grandpa, whatever.

[01:27:16] Don't shuck too

[01:27:16] fast and don't

[01:27:17] shuck too slow.

[01:27:18] They fucking

[01:27:19] wheel you into

[01:27:20] a dumpster.

[01:27:22] I was once

[01:27:24] told I was a

[01:27:25] girthy boy.

[01:27:29] Well, I'll go

[01:27:30] ahead and

[01:27:31] I'll

[01:27:32] They took it

[01:27:37] away from me.

[01:27:38] They took away

[01:27:39] my girth blanket.

[01:27:45] Okay, so

[01:27:47] for me, I'm

[01:27:49] just going to

[01:27:50] go ahead and

[01:27:50] fucking just run

[01:27:51] it.

[01:27:51] I'm recommend

[01:27:51] date, recommend

[01:27:52] date a game to

[01:27:54] the people

[01:27:54] here.

[01:27:55] And, you

[01:27:55] know, I

[01:27:57] I'm not

[01:27:57] going to go

[01:27:58] I'm not nearly

[01:27:59] as cool as

[01:28:00] any of you

[01:28:00] guys, so I'm

[01:28:01] not going to

[01:28:01] have anything

[01:28:01] that's like

[01:28:02] yes, you

[01:28:02] are bespoke

[01:28:03] or old

[01:28:04] stuff.

[01:28:05] But I'm

[01:28:06] going to say

[01:28:07] because it is

[01:28:08] spooky season, I

[01:28:09] really need

[01:28:11] more people to

[01:28:12] play this because

[01:28:12] I need something

[01:28:13] more from this

[01:28:15] developer.

[01:28:15] And that's a

[01:28:16] little game

[01:28:16] called dredge

[01:28:17] by black

[01:28:19] salt.

[01:28:19] I think it's

[01:28:20] like black

[01:28:21] salt company

[01:28:21] LTV dredge.

[01:28:24] It came out

[01:28:24] in 2023.

[01:28:26] It's on PC, but

[01:28:27] it's on consoles

[01:28:27] now.

[01:28:28] Not only is it

[01:28:28] on consoles,

[01:28:29] there was just

[01:28:30] news that came

[01:28:30] out that it's

[01:28:31] coming to iOS

[01:28:32] apps.

[01:28:32] You can play

[01:28:33] it on your

[01:28:33] tablets and

[01:28:35] your iPhones.

[01:28:36] I don't know

[01:28:37] if it's coming

[01:28:37] to Android, but

[01:28:38] I think it's

[01:28:38] just iOS for

[01:28:39] right now.

[01:28:40] But man, this

[01:28:41] game not only

[01:28:42] is just a

[01:28:43] it's a visual

[01:28:44] treat.

[01:28:45] It's like a

[01:28:45] it's a it's a

[01:28:46] it's a visual

[01:28:47] masterpiece.

[01:28:47] Like the

[01:28:49] the actual

[01:28:49] methodical way

[01:28:50] that they go

[01:28:51] about having

[01:28:52] you pilot the

[01:28:52] ship piloting

[01:28:53] in the ship

[01:28:53] is kind of

[01:28:54] like really

[01:28:54] peaceful until

[01:28:55] it's not.

[01:28:56] It's one of

[01:28:57] these games

[01:28:57] where it's

[01:28:57] like you

[01:28:59] it's it's

[01:28:59] it's a it's

[01:29:00] kind of like

[01:29:00] a it's literally

[01:29:01] just you're a

[01:29:02] fisherman simulator

[01:29:03] and you're going

[01:29:04] out there and

[01:29:04] you're going into

[01:29:05] different parts of

[01:29:06] the ocean and

[01:29:06] you're finding

[01:29:07] fish that you

[01:29:07] can catch and

[01:29:08] bring on your

[01:29:09] ship and

[01:29:09] sometimes you

[01:29:10] bring aboard

[01:29:11] fish that are

[01:29:11] like fucking

[01:29:12] mutated and

[01:29:13] fucked up a little

[01:29:14] bit and you're

[01:29:15] like, oh,

[01:29:16] what the hell?

[01:29:16] And then you go

[01:29:17] to like these

[01:29:18] towns and there

[01:29:18] are these weird

[01:29:20] creepy every single

[01:29:21] one of the

[01:29:21] fucking towns

[01:29:22] folks like

[01:29:22] you're you're

[01:29:23] given no context.

[01:29:24] All you know

[01:29:25] is you just

[01:29:25] show up one

[01:29:26] day your ship

[01:29:27] kind of breaks

[01:29:28] down and then

[01:29:29] they are able

[01:29:29] to rescue

[01:29:30] you and then

[01:29:31] they're just

[01:29:31] like, hey,

[01:29:32] man, you need

[01:29:32] to pay back

[01:29:33] the debt.

[01:29:33] You know, it's

[01:29:33] kind of like Tom

[01:29:34] Nook style

[01:29:35] situation.

[01:29:35] You know, why

[01:29:36] don't you do a

[01:29:36] little bit of

[01:29:36] work?

[01:29:37] Why don't you

[01:29:38] take out one

[01:29:38] of our fishing

[01:29:39] boats?

[01:29:39] We need people

[01:29:40] to bring in

[01:29:40] fish.

[01:29:41] And so it

[01:29:42] kind of goes

[01:29:43] from there.

[01:29:43] And there are

[01:29:44] different settlements

[01:29:45] that are scattered

[01:29:46] throughout like

[01:29:46] islands that are

[01:29:48] in this one part

[01:29:49] of the sea.

[01:29:49] And you go to

[01:29:49] these settlements

[01:29:50] and you start

[01:29:50] learning more

[01:29:51] about this really

[01:29:52] weird, creepy

[01:29:53] world.

[01:29:53] And then it

[01:29:54] starts getting

[01:29:55] into the fucking

[01:29:55] love crafting and

[01:29:56] horror.

[01:29:56] horror.

[01:29:57] And oh, man, I'm

[01:29:57] not going to say

[01:29:58] anything more than

[01:29:59] that, but it's

[01:30:00] just like people

[01:30:01] need to play this

[01:30:01] game because it's

[01:30:03] just one of those

[01:30:04] it's one of those

[01:30:05] games that are just

[01:30:05] chill laid back.

[01:30:07] It's vibes.

[01:30:08] And then it's like

[01:30:09] really intense,

[01:30:10] like fucking spooky

[01:30:13] horror and like

[01:30:13] combined with the

[01:30:14] simulator.

[01:30:15] It's just it hits a

[01:30:15] lot of notes and it

[01:30:17] does it really well.

[01:30:17] It was a it was a

[01:30:18] nine out of ten for

[01:30:19] me last year when I

[01:30:20] played it and I

[01:30:20] can't record.

[01:30:21] Yeah, enough.

[01:30:22] Hell yeah, dude.

[01:30:24] I hope it comes to

[01:30:25] Game Pass soon.

[01:30:26] Or wait, is it on

[01:30:27] Game Pass already?

[01:30:28] It's on Switch.

[01:30:29] Feel like I feel

[01:30:30] like it was at some

[01:30:32] point if it's not

[01:30:33] still.

[01:30:35] Well, it's definitely

[01:30:36] on Steam, but yeah,

[01:30:39] but like definitely

[01:30:39] like yeah, it's well

[01:30:41] yeah, no, it's on

[01:30:42] it's on the Xbox.

[01:30:44] Yeah, it's it's for

[01:30:45] sale right now, but

[01:30:46] they've come out with

[01:30:47] a bunch of expansions

[01:30:48] and I haven't even

[01:30:48] played it since launch.

[01:30:49] So this is one of

[01:30:50] situations where I need

[01:30:51] to go and I need to

[01:30:52] grab myself a couple

[01:30:53] of the expansions and

[01:30:54] play some more of it

[01:30:55] because it's just like

[01:30:56] that God's

[01:30:56] I guarantee you

[01:30:57] they're just giving

[01:30:57] you some more stuff

[01:30:58] in there.

[01:30:59] It's awesome.

[01:30:59] Shit.

[01:31:01] Yeah, they did a

[01:31:01] they did a crossover.

[01:31:02] I was like the one

[01:31:04] person that like like

[01:31:05] this game.

[01:31:06] Apparently nobody

[01:31:06] fucking likes Dave

[01:31:07] the Diver, but at

[01:31:08] one point Dave the

[01:31:09] Diver did a crossover

[01:31:10] with Dredge because

[01:31:11] they're both about

[01:31:11] fucking fishermen and

[01:31:13] kind of like a

[01:31:14] management sim and it

[01:31:16] was it was really

[01:31:16] cool.

[01:31:18] Nice, dude.

[01:31:19] I'm definitely more

[01:31:20] intrigued to check this

[01:31:21] out now.

[01:31:21] Yeah, you gotta find

[01:31:23] it.

[01:31:23] And you guys gotta

[01:31:24] just buy that UFO

[01:31:25] 50.

[01:31:26] That's how I

[01:31:27] got it.

[01:31:27] Yeah, dude.

[01:31:37] Yeah.

[01:31:38] And listeners, you

[01:31:39] know, if you've

[01:31:39] listened up until

[01:31:40] this point, first of

[01:31:41] all, I love you.

[01:31:42] You're beautiful.

[01:31:44] Hey, thanks for

[01:31:45] thanks for listening.

[01:31:59] Take it easy.
